Photopass

Thanks for the pre-order link. In advance of our last trip, we knew we'd want to order the CD, so we asked Photopass photographers everywhere to take pictures. We ended up with a couple hundred, so it was a great value to buy the CD. It's going to be even better in April with this pre-order deal. Thanks again!

Do all of the On - Ride pictures let you pop in the fast pass card to add them on, or just a few of them? last trip i dont really look, but only remeber a few having that option.

Hello Sbkline,
Also another great tip in photopass is if you really want a great shot in one particular location (for example Cinderella's Castle) you should have several photographers take your photo ( 2 or 3 down main street) and at different times of the day.

Pocamahontas has given you and excellent tip here. You want to do this because you might run into me and I'll take your photo, but I stink as a photographer. So, you want to go further up the street and have Pocamahontas take your photo, because she rocks as a photographer. Also, I always end up with the malfunctioning camera and she always ends up with the good one. So I spend an hour taking photos that are blurry through no fault of my own.

* There is (currently to my knowledge) a limit on the number of photos. We've racked up over 600 on a trip (3 CDs worth)

I'm sure this was a typo, but there is NO limit on photos.

Anyway, my question is regarding where all the photopass photographers are. Do they only hang around the parks, or are there any at the Boardwalk and DTD? Is it still the case that there are no photopass photographers at the resort hotels?

Also, I may be wrong, but I was kind of thinking that a photographer took our picture at our character meal at Chef Mickey's last year. Is that something other than photopass because I thought I remembered seeing the picture that very evening at the restaraunt and having the opportunity to purchase it if we wanted to. And are there any other restaraunts where they do this? Can I have that put on my photopass card?

Photopass is at all 4 theme parks, both water parks, Downtown Disney (mostly Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique, but expanding to magic photos and icon photos), Grand Floridian (and expanding to the other resorts as well for portrait sessions), and dining locations.

Right now in order to add your dining photos to a photopass card, you have to purchase the photo first and then we will add the photos to your card. I believe in a month or so, all of the dining photos will be included with your meal (like Cinderella's Royal Table) so all will be able to be added to your photopass card.

Do all of the On - Ride pictures let you pop in the fast pass card to add them on, or just a few of them? last trip i dont really look, but only remeber a few having that option.

Test Track is still the only ride photo, besides water park ride photos, that is put on your photopass card.

I looked this thread up on the thread finder thingy, having no idea that someone bumped it up today anyway. :ROFLOL:

Photopass photographers are at all of the parks, a few of the resorts (character dining), and the water parks as well. There are a few at DTD because of the BBB, but none at the Boardwalk. They're around, you definitely won't have a problem finding them.

It was in all likelihood a photopass photographer at Chef Mickey's that took your picture there last year, and you're right you do have the opportunity to purchase it if you want. They offer that package to those who dine there, and if you return you'll find a very similar set up.

 mmm...

Last I knew only Test Track (I think)was able to do that

Reusing Photopass cards

My last vacation was in August of 2007 and we're going back this week. Can I use the same PhotoPass card again? We still have it from the last trip, and the card's number is in our account profile on the Disney PhotoPass site.

My card is different from the ones shown in example photos. The front of the card is the same, but the back does not have a bar code beneath the card number. Instead, there is a digital pixel square on the upper right corner of the card that appears to be readable code. Anyone else have this?

Test Track is still the only ride photo, besides water park ride photos, that is put on your photopass card.

I'm gonna have to write some letters about them being so slow in expanding the on ride photos to photopass. It would be extra conveinent. I suppose there must still be a few kinks to work out.

While you are writing, bring up these questions:

Why didn't Everest have a photopass attached to its ride photo since it opened after Test Track was started? The line is that we have contracts left to fulfill with the other rides, but Everest had no contract.

When they refurbished Space Ship Earth and added a photo, why didn't they add that to photopass as well?

It is my opinion that having one ride as a test isn't working. See if a multitude of rides has an effect on people buying the CD.

I have gone back through old threads and I know you can add multiple cards to one account and so they are all on the cd but can you, burn copies of it to give to other people in your group? There are 3 of us going and we all live in different towns, so one cd would not be the best solution.

How long can I use the Photopass

My family will be at WDW in 3 weeks :p My question is; We will be there for 6 days, will we be able to use the pass during the whole 6 days we are there, or is the pass a one day event.

Thanks,

I would assume you could burn another copy of the cd. If you couldn't for some reason, you can upload the pics on your computer and then burn a new cd out of them.

once you purchase the CD and you receive it yes you can burn the CD providing you have a good CD burner and software on your computer. It works like a charm.

You use the same card for the entire vacation.

Bare in mind that if you attend any hard ticket events (Pirates and Princesses Party or any other special admission ticket sometimes they have a special Photopass card just for that event and you can upload that card to your account also. I know last year for the MVMCP they had one special just for that event, and so we added it to our existing account.
