Since I'm always up early and before I head out to work this morning, I just wanted to wish you a happy day in California. By the way, I hope the subway connection worked out well for you with no delays.
Good morning! Wow, what a night! I need to be more careful with my things and where I walk! Good thing the people in this hostel are honest and watch out for one another! Hostel is decent. Don't take American Express. I put $600 in AmEx gift cards before I left. Big mistake. I'm going to run out of cash soon and it looks like the other hostels don't accept Amex either. Looks like I'm going to have to call around today and solve this.
By the way, last night I partied and was quite fubar. I'm not sure if it was me or the people (all foreigners from England, Australia, Russia, etc.) were just very friendly or if it was the Capt. Morgan.
Just ate breakfast. Going back to sleep.

It did. A little disappointed in BART. Trains are very loud. Stations have that urine smell.
On the way to the hostel, I walked through a bad neighborhood. They told me at reception to walk a block west of that section I walked through. Not what you want to see as your first impression of the city.
I'm not going back to sleep. I have some time still before checking in at the other hostel. I'll talk some pics before I leave here.

Just counted my cash. I have $100 left. The hostel I'm staying at is the most expensive out of all the ones I booked ($60) and it was just for one night. I booked with another one of that chain for when I'm in Hollywood, so that one I know won't accept AmEx. The hostel I'm staying in tonight is just $30 and doesn't accept AmEx, leaving me $70 cash left (enough for the night at this hostel's Hollywood location). I'm going to have to contact the remaining hostels and see if they accept AmEx. If not, I'm going to have to either make an emergency change in plans and find something that does, or call home (which I would rather avoid doing).

Nevertheless, it was a great flight! Great service!
Occasionally my phone would get a Verizon signal and I was able to pinpoint our flight positions via Google Maps. flying over Las Vegas was cool!
