Peter Pan's Flight exterior refurbishment

Yes I have been to DL and to Paris. I love the Fantasy land at those two parks, but I also believe that all the parks should not all look alike.

But looking different is VERY different than not being properly maintained or plussed.

I'd agree the parks can look different.

Not so much on lack of maintenence.

I wouldn't disagree...

There was a big rumor that they would rehaul the whole thing to add a second track instead...Never happened.

I don't see how they can squeeze a second track in there. I think the best bet is two rows of seats, or wider benches to increase capacity. I have no idea if the ride system can currently support it, but when it goes down for a refurbishment capacity has to be addressed.

I just hope they don't try to change anything (like they did small world at DL). I like the refurbs as long as they don't turn into changes to the actual ride.

Sometimes changes mare the attractions way better.Ala Haunted Mansion, Hall of Presidents, and soon, Star Tours.

The Disneyland Fantasyland is pretty amazing, but I'm not sure how such a nice facade such as Peter Pan would fit in that small corridor. It might make the area feel even more cramped.

Even though I agree that they look amazing, I really don't think that the Disneyland facades would fit thematically into our Fantasyland at all...

i'm with the others, why wouldn't it fit? it works in the other MKs.. It's one of my favorite areas in DL, very charming and full of detail. It's especially pretty at night!

Wouldn't that be awesome?

The facades at Disneyland make ours look like Six Flags.

(*crouches to avoid flying objects from people who would disagree*)

I don't know about MKs FL looking like six flags, but I will say the differences are quite striking

It's sad the Village Haus' design looks like something from DL's FLand and it has to be all around the sad FLand facades that look like they're from '55. lol

The reasons DL's facades wouldn't work in our FL is because DL's castle doesn't extend around most of it's FL. Our FL is designed to be a castle courtyard. The circus tents are set up to be like a Fair coming to town to celebrate something. I agree that the tents are ugly, but the answer is not to copy the Fantasy Forest design of DL's. Otherwise a visual contradiction would arise: why is a village on the inside of a castle courtyard?

Right, but keep in mind that DL's looked like that too originally

Why must you post such things and make me want to go to DL ASAP....

...more that I already did?

Actually, DL's Castle DOES extend and DOES create a Courtyard. Don't know why that prohibits more detailed facades. It's our Castle that isn't connected to show buildings...

See what I mean?

Perhaps if they removed the IaSW queue and relocated it to the VH it would allow them to open up and retheme western FL including PPF.

Deja vu all over again.

It's not connected, bit there is a wall behind most of the facades.

Our FL will work. The idea of having the castle courtyard with the village in the woods outside will work quite well.
