The attractions will be getting a general 'spruce up'... And there will be changes to load/unload... Most of the time is for expanding and modifying the existing queue..

There is already talk of extending the refurb another 2-3 weeks from whats on the books now..

That's great news!

That ride has such a long wait. I hope they aren't planning to make it longer.

It does need some serious sprucing up!! Hope that gets done! :)

We have been planning our annual Disney trip for months. The top priority on our life was "Peter Pan Ride". Unfortunately, the ride will re-open on the day that we are leaving! So bummed :( Why couldn't it reopen on one day early!?

Keep an eye out for a soft opening. They normally get some test runs in before the official reopening date - unless the work dates get extended.

I figured (If DIsney closed that ride for good they'd probably have a riot on their hands XD) but it must've closed for it's refurb really quickly since we were only there not even a week ago :O

Ok, it's dated but it's a classic and I think it would be wrong to make it 'modern.' Maybe just update the London model (London Eye?)
You can't add The Eye without "modernizing" it. You're boarding the pirate ship and flying through the story of Peter Pan, soaring over "their" London set in 1904. When Barrie wrote the original story he set it in "his" modern day. The London Eye was built in 1999.

That stinks! :(

I love going on that ride (Peter Pan fangirl over here), and when I saw the news that it was going to "Be closed for refurb after the summer", I went 'nononononono not when we're there not when we're there', and I looked and it said "September 28th." We leave on the 27th! :D so we luck out.

On a side note, Space Mountain is doing those refurbs..and one of them is for Sept. 23rd to 26th. We're there from the 19th to the 27th.

...which means you can ride both. Why grumpy face over rides being closed during one of the least busy times of year? I would love the short lines if I could visit then.

as we all know they are updating the queue's to make them more interesting as we stand there because who knows how this whole magic band and re registering for fastpass thing will play out. personally the queue things they have added to other rides are great maybe for kids at best but a line is a line. For me I'd get rid of fast pass, have the lines move faster for EVERYONE and nobody would care. Lines are only annoying when you DONT MOVE at all.
