A month refurb? I dunno.....IMO this is one of those attractions that should be handled with care. Its iconic. Do the thing justice. It is an attraction loved by a multitude of generations.

Alcoa Aluminum along with Jiffy Pop have a 1.5 billion dollar contract to refurbish the interior of the volcano.

I really wish the show scenes and AAs could get some love. The curtains are pretty noticeable.

So long as they dust the thing... I love the ride but if you look close, by gosh, it's covered. Surprised no one has had an asthma attack in there (and I'm only sort of joking).

I may be in the minority here, but I don't want them to do too much updating. Cleaning and repairing, yes, but this is one of those classic attractions that I worry about being destroyed with an "update" to it.

Isn't the issue with updating this ride too much that it's not ADA compliant and if they update it past a certain percentage then they have to take that into consideration too? Unless that is just a vicious rumor that I bought into, I thought they were kind of stuck with how the ride is currently unless they face the wrath of lawyers saying it's not ADA compliant....Now, I'm all about some new AA's, fresh paint, and a good dusting. Plus, an expanded que with some interactive elements would not hurt either to give the kiddies something to play with while waiting forever.....I know we are in the very small minority (and that's fine) but my wife and think the ride is just okay. Not amazing. Maybe we didn't have the nostalgia from our childhood. I love flying over London in the boat but that's about it.....Either way, glad to see it getting some love, but more could probably be used.

Yes, it is a rumor, though one born of third party facts (stores doing refits required to update restrooms and entrances, etc). but, it should be noted, ADA requires *reasonable* accommodation, not universal accommodation.

It is certainly not an underlying reason not to maintain or even update a ride.

^^Probably correct on the accessibility upgrades. I bet that is one of the main reasons Pan hasn't seen upgrades... ever.

Pan and Jungle Cruise each need to go down for six months to get a Hanted Mansion 2007 style refurb.

If posted on the Disney Site, fairly accurate, in fact, even a bit overblown (they leave themselves wiggle room)...

The attractions will be getting a general 'spruce up'... And there will be changes to load/unload... Most of the time is for expanding and modifying the existing queue..

There is already talk of extending the refurb another 2-3 weeks from whats on the books now..

I'm more of a thrill seeker but PP was great yesterday (6/22.) Ok, it's dated but it's a classic and I think it would be wrong to make it 'modern.' Maybe just update the London model (London Eye?) A new audio and a paint job, that would be great in my opinion.
