Peter Pan Refurbishment in January 2019?

Yes. It’s begging for a live-action format of the animated film with a boy as Pan, not a musical with a girl in the title role or a movie about the author. I’m sure it’ll be a project in the next 10 years to make the property more relevant. The story itself is strong, it just needs modern themes.
I think they should redirect and do a story based on how he became Peter Pan. My son did a report last semester on a book I had never heard of called Peter and the Starcatchers which does a fantastic job telling this story. In fact, I just researched and it's the first in a series of 5 books. Get the rights and tell the story from the beginning rather than just taking the original and butchering it with a SJW redo. Hook did a good job of telling the story of Peter after he grew up, now lets hear how he became Peter Pan.

Done by Disney with the music from the animated film?
No, they did a fairly faithful adaption based on the original play that J.M. Barrie wrote. But odd as it may seem, it was the very first live action sound movie ever made of PP (And one of the two times that Pan was played by a boy on film or television - the other was Disney's animated)

Peter and the Starcatcher became a WONDERFUL Broadway play. Best Captain Hook I’ve ever seen, but I’d expect nothing less from Christian Borle.

I did not know that and would love to see the play (since I will obviously not get my wish for the movie). I found the book to be very imaginative and entertaining. A perfect origin story IMO.

That was made by Universal, however. I'd like a Disney one with the Disney music. Maybe less discussion of Indians, however.
While the cartoon is enjoyable, it very much Disney-fide the play. The original play (which was written for adults, not children) is a tad darker. The 2003 film was closer, which may be why it flopped. People are too familiar with the Disney/Mary Martin version of the play. The novel of it is even darker. The novel ends - When Margaret grows up she will have a daughter, who is to be Peter's mother in turn; and thus it will go on, so long as children are gay and innocent and heartless. (Peter doesn't even remember Hook or Tinkerbell, he simply forgets them after they die)

Maybe they will convert PPF to the Politically Correct version Pirates of the Caribbean is today. Wendy turns a sword on Capt Hook, Peter ask the parents permission to take the kids to Neverland, Hook's crew have union buttons on their uniform, and there is a sign above the crocodile stating "Crocodiles are a protected species and you shouldn't feed them anything, especially humans and alarm clocks".
This is the funniest thing I have seen all week!!!

Dang, I was really hoping we’d get a major refurb. I love PPF but it needs much more work than can be done in one month.

I rode it a couple weeks ago and all I could think about was how disappointed I would be if I was a first-time visitor who had just waited about an hour for it.
What is disappointing?

yep...PC ruins all...I mean ALL. things..
Yeah, to hell with basic decency, let's just keep glorifying scenes which were basically Minstrel Shows (What Makes the Red Man Red?) of people who we've historically ed over and whom are still ed over to this day.

Not saying you're not allowed to enjoy the original movie. I'm not saying that it's wrong with All this whining about le sjw boogeyman is far more ludicrous and insufferable than any of the so-called PC Police were.

Blog Mickey has a video of it....says new paint for attraction and queue. Hard to tell with the video compared to seeing it in person how refreshed it looks since the camera brightens it up a lot.

It certainly looks refreshed in the video. It was in terrible shape last time I rode it in 2016...unbelievably dirty, dusty and smudges/scuffs everywhere. Can anyone comment who had been on it since this refurb?
