Peter Pan Queue

Getting rid of it entirely? Sure (though I'd be fine with it, don't care much for the ride).

Moving IASW to Epcot? I don't think people would be unhappy with that at all and most people would say it is a much better placement. IASW originated as a World's Fair ride and Epcot is basically a permanent World's Fair.

Especially when you see how awesome the Disneyland version is with it's outdoor queue. If you add that to EPCOT I think people would be ecstatic!

I've long said that Peter Pan's Flight is the most overrated attraction in WDW. I would expect that any refurbishment to it would result in Mine Train type figures which would be a huge upgrade. The best thing the attraction has going for it is the ride system. Keep that (or something in place) and upgrade the show scenes.

As for Fantasyland in general, I actually think it's a small world is a bad fit for Fantasyland. It's separated in California from their 1984 redo and is used as a transition attraction to Toontown. In Florida it's across from a classic (albeit an overrated one as stated above). Personally, I think that Fantasyland should only be for characaters from Disney animation. They have 70+ years of stories to fill out the land, and more or less any of the European fairytales fit in thematically.

Just like people complain that character based attractions don't belong in Epcot, I think the opposite is true in Fantasyland.

As the former mayor of Boston would say, "Give me the keys and I'll get the job done." I'd move it's a small world to the Odyssey area, I'd level the building expanding that area for Tangled, Frozen, and probably a larger Princess Meet and Greet area. This would open the prime real estate of Fairytale Hall to return to a dark ride, like it should be.

HAHA- So true. People always say that characters don't belong in EPCOT but ignore the fact that IASW does not fit in with its surroundings at FL.

Also, as another poster said, by moving IASW to EPCOT you could do the projection show on it and add more entertainment to a park that does not have a parade or big shows to see.

But, as far as Pan is concerned, it definitely needs more than a dusting. Better AA's that do not look like something from a blacklight rave party would be a start. The queue should be improved upon to look like DL or Paris. Would be a nice touch. Still think they need to find a way to add a Tinkerbell M&G next to Pan but the last thing we want to do is add more clutter to an already congested area.

Love the idea of moving IASW and opening up all the land behind it though. I bet it happens one day.

IASW would be absolutely perfect in Epcot IMO. It fits completely. Not sure why anyone gets upset over the IDEA of moving it, like it's sacred to Fantasyland. To me, it's shoehorned into a corner of the park and deserves a more impressive entrance and it's own section. I'd also suggest moving Carousel of Progress to Epcot as well. But again, these are just IDEAS and no one is saying they will happen (they won't).

Notice of Commencement was filed on the 12th, so if they work hasn't already started it should start soon. If the plan truly is to use the old restroom to add on the queue it's possible that work is going on there so it won't be visible.
Yeah worked hasn't started yet out on stage yet :)

I am telling you the idea really resonates with me. It is such a perfect fit for WS and featuring WS as a family park during the day. Wasn't there a movie in the works or some other platform for IaSW?

Anyway, not saying it is happening but the more I think about it the more sense it makes. Especially if Frozen is made permanent to WS.

I also have ideas how other pavilions could be adapted. WS could be put back on the map so to speak in a major way.

Yes CoP to FW and IaSW to WS. Helps Epcot and MK in major ways. And would not cost that much.

Frozen in Fantasyland... IASW in WS. But I don't want more character invasion of Epcot. World Showcase is already on the map... all of the adults go on "Drink Around the World" adventures ;) really, it's Epcot's saving grace at the moment.

I am thinking the characters disappear during the evening events. Ride closures at 7 or 8 PM seasonally adjusted. (FW attractions would be open until park closure).

At that point specially ticketed cultural events could occur. IE wine tastings, dessert parties etc. WS would still be available for regular diners for the evening and DAtW for Pumbas Nakasak. Perhaps fireworks at midnight to sort of steal an idea from PI.

Something like 'Impressions' theater could run a film for children in the daytime (Remy 3D or Philharmagic?) and the traditional film at night.

I think it would work amazingly with ideas like this.

So not only would you make adults wait till the evening for experiences they would enjoy in World Showcase, but you would charge them extra for it too? That's it, I'm done.

They would pay only for dinner if they choose or special tickets if they choose. Adults could enjoy Frozen, Fiesta, or IaSW if they wanted to during the day. They would still have many of the traditional attractions as well at night such as the circlevisions or Impressions of France. Most adults to WDW have children with then. Those that do not likely would prefer a WS that is mostly free from children in the evenings. Disney could even make it exclusively for adults after Illuminations.

It is just an idea. It would work for most people.

Oh no no no no. The outside queue is wonderful at DL. If you could do a better job of duplicating it indoors, I say go for it. However, the idea of an outdoor queue in Florida in the months of May - September? NOPE. Not interested. I love outdoor queues in California. I have a severe hatred of them in Florida!

Besides, as far as IASW in Epcot? It would end up being like the Mexico ride.

Absolutely not a chance. It is a low cost attraction to operate, has a huge capacity, and its massively popular with guests. It would make no sense what-so-ever to close it.

And moving rides? When does that really ever happen these days. IASW is a Magic Kingdom classic and will remain that way.
Thank you, Im tired of hearing about moving IASW. Move along people ....

So do we know any plans for the new Peter Pan queue? Will there be any changes to the ride?
I hope the ride stays the same with some cleaning.
And if they do any interactive to the queue I hope it is something to do with the children's bedroom and not never land, it is a small thing but I like the fact that we leave through the window to go to never land, so I hope that everything that happens before that is not never land based
