That is a Pete too. The movie he was from was called Pete's Dragon....

Incorect...The Boy is named Pete..The Dragon is named Elliot...Thus the title..Pete's Dragon..Infact..Besides Elliott being used for MSEP he was used as a character for a christmas parade in the late 70's...

Ahhh, old fashioned Disney parades. The only time frame when Elliot, one of the 3 Little Pigs, and a Jungle Book elephant can all be taken in the same photo.

Glad to hear Pete may be appearing in the parks. It's all because of his presence on "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," I'm sure. He's not really a villain on the show, he's the gang's trouble-making pal. The series is VERY popular with young children.

Great to hear Pete will or should I say might be out. Bring back some of the rarer or heck even more recent characters. Variety makes many people(well, me anyway) happy. :D

Much better then recent news of Duffy the Disney Bear doing M&Gs. I mean they have plenty of characters to put out there and they chose this one so they can sell some plushies. Nice move!

I've always wondered why Pete doesn't have a meet n' greet. This is the best news I've heard all day. Awesome.

Plus you know, becoming more prominent in the Kingdom Hearts games and soon Epic Mickey.

This would be great! :D I agree that having a Pete character would be a great way to bring some Disney history to WDW. Maybe Oswald and Humphrey the Bear will be next... of course, as many have noted, Pete has an unusual amount of publicity for such a historic character.

This is some GREAT news... and maybe they can stop making Donald the Villain of the castle shows and get Pete to incur the wrath of the other villains for once... he's one of the only villains that can believably transform from being an evil grump to a... well... tolerable grump! Mickey always seems to pay Pete respect (and vice-versa), even though they usually act as enemies. Pete is REALLY versatile and incredibly funny, too!

P.S. Apparently the current backstory of the Toontown Movie House in DL is that Pete is actually Mickey's director and he's the one that often "calls Mickey away" so he can take a break.

He's like the Cheshire Cat. Is he evil? Maybe. Decieving? Quite a bit. Good? Only sometimes, but barely.

Speaking of.... Pete just played the Cheshire Cat in Mickey's new movie.... conspiracy?!!?

I totally agree with this. Figment should be the mascot for Epcot, not some nondescript kawaii bear!

Figment reprisenting both Future World and World Showcase? How about they become co-mascots? Duffy for WS, Figment for FW...

Pete would be very interesting. As well as useful. I too realize that Donald doesnt play his part as a hot tempered quacker but as the non-believer and kinda bad guy. If they add Pete then well........

Maybe they'll bring Oswald at some point as well.

Can they bring Oswald back?
Didn't Walt loose the rights to him to Universal, and because of that created Mickey? Nice to see Pete though.

Edit.....
My mistake! They had the rights returned in 2006.
Just ignore me, I'll get my coat! :hammer:

No sorry, I was correct. I meant the boy and said he was from Pete's Dragon (meaning the dragon is Pete's). I did not say Pete the Dragon....

If you look at the photo that I had referred to, Pete is sitting on Elliot as he always did in the MSEP.

I would love to see Pete. Pete and Donald have both changed significantly for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, losing some of the things (hatred and temper, respectively) that have made them interesting characters in the first place. I hope they get a new place to be like they used to (not those remastered cartoons, which are fine but some barely tell their story in 2 minutes).

I would love to see Petey in the parks. He's been around forever, not sure why it hasn't been done yet. I also think they need to amp up Halloween with some old-school dancing skeletons
