BLD2018-02760 Paradise Pier Hotel - Pool Slide Equipment Room, Tank/Piping - Tenant Improvement: Replace (3) existing 12,150 lbs water tanks anchored to existing slab.

BLD2018-02649 Disneyland Hotel - Frontier Tower - Tenant Improvement: Replacement of (4) Heat Exchangers serving the domestic hotel water and provide (2) new buffer tanks with a new pour-in-place pad, located in the basement.

Hmm, some of these SM permits conflict with previous ones. So is the exit now going to be interior and the entrance still going to be exterior? Or are they both going to be interior?

I asked one of my Rebel Spies to check on this. My Bothan reports that you can see the new stairs coming down from the back of the upper level of Starcade directly above the backstage exit from the handicapped entrance/general exit of Space Mountain (to the left of the men' room and drinking fountain). It's a double-wide staircase with a landing at mid-point and a handrail down the middle. Sadly this spy is retiring soon. Good Bothans are hard to come by.

Nice to hear this project’s coming along. Sad to lose the speed ramp forever, but it wasn’t doing anyone any good sitting unused.
That still doesn’t answer any of the questions I asked....
I think I may have figured out your question. Think of “exit stairs” in terms of emergency exit stairs for the new queue, not stairs that service the attraction exit. I’m fairly certain everything else about the project is the same since we last discussed it. :)

Keep in mind that the permit requires just a brief description of the project, there are often multiple permits associated one project, and often different people apply for permits, even when it's for the same project. Not too surprising that things get lost in translation.

I will try very hard here to not start another unfounded rumor about a cocktail lounge, like my Treetop Tapas N' Tipples idea when a similar permit came in for Adventureland and it only turned out to be more stroller parking. :(

But... they are going to label a new part of this massive parking structure The Veranda? They would need that for placemaking and wayfinding purposes, obviously. But why call out an area of a 16,500 space parking facility as The Veranda? Perhaps this is what they will be calling the expanded and reconfigured tram loading zone?

Just a guess, but a plaza area selling refreshments perhaps? Maybe some shade and seating. If you're giving an area a name, you'd think something would be there other than open space.
