If you don't believe what @Curious Constance is saying, just take a look at the way Wonder Woman has evolved from Lynda Carter's portrayal to Gal Gadot's. Where gentleness and love once defined her character, brute strength and a sword have taken over. This feminist victory sure seems to be losing any feminine aspects to the character.

You must have seen a different film, as the DC Wonder Woman has the character winning with love and hope and that brings her strength and inspires her action.

I really don't care one way or the other about Redd.

My objection is to the general agenda now a days regarding females. Females have to be like males and make the same exact choices that males tend to make or there is inequality at play.

This will lead to women being unhappier because they feel compelled to make choices they wouldn't normally make all in the interest of being equal. More women will forgo having children because it's the empowered thing to do. Etc, etc, etc.

Women's roles in the raising of the future generations is vital to the health and well being of society. That will continue to be chipped away at the more these agendas are pushed.

I don't believe anyone ever said that anyone has to make the same choices, regardless of sex, age, race, nationality, religion, etc. Many women forgo children because they just don't want children. Sure, some might feel they need to choose between child and career, and that's unfortunate because America's labor laws certainly don't make it easy to do both; but I'm certain that number of women who are deeply hurt by this choice being thrust upon them is equal to the number of women who in decades past were hurt by being expected to forgo dreams and aspirations because women were supposed to have children and keep the home. I know my former girlfriend's mother wasn't allowed to work. She would try, but her husband would refuse to discuss it. For years she wanted a divorce, but was afraid of how she would live with no work experience in 20+ years. I think having a choice available is far healthier for society than expecting people to fill whatever gender role they expected to fill in less enlightened times.

The idea of "pirate" equaling "good role model" in any capacity is exceedingly laughable. Even a Disney-fied pirate.

I was initially in favor of this because, well, redhead with gun. But now I've seen it at WDW and it's just stupid. I like the Depp character but the story makes no sense. I like the redhead character but the story makes no sense.

I just don't understand why they needed to change the facial features of the character. In the pictures and videos i have seen the new Redhead in WDW looks so much different than the original unless I am seeing something wrong.
