Part of Sid Cahuenga's at Disney's Hollywood Studios to become a MyMagic+ service center

I need a double-like button.

I'd be embarrassed to wear any shirt that has a variation of 'Band Together' or 'I'm with the Band'.

Maybe if they were giving them away as a promotional item......just maybe, people would wear them while washing their car. Seems pretty amateurish at this stage of the game....

Is this really that much of a loss at this point?
Last time I was in there the actual one-of-a-kind offerings were quite limited, and the place was mostly full of standard merchandise and autographs.

It wasn't even close to the semi-museum I remember it being as a kid.

You have to hand it to them, that does take a bit of gall.
Turning the mandatory bands into, in the guests eyes, a customizable bit of merchandise is nothing short of genius.

If you have been in the Magic Kingdom in the past several weeks you may have noticed a service center is set up in Town Square Theater. They had some stations on pedestals and a few more on a counter for the guests who do not walk around all day with their face buried in a phone or other device. Guest relations folks were present to spread the propaganda of how WDW has saved your vacation and your life will be more wonderful with My Magic Minus. Unfortunately I was not there at the time it happened, but on the way out of the park I went in again to amuse myself with another GR person and listen to the propaganda. I noticed the spot where the pedestal was missing and was told a guest took out a pedestal with a WDW rental ECV and reduced it to scrap wood. Karma? That guest deserves a medal.

Never again can it be said on a Disney forum that having large numbers of guests on ECV's is a bad thing. :D

We can all laff, but who here doesn't think these shirts are awesome? :)

I for one want quintuplets just so I can make them wear these ticket book shirts. Yet ticket books are nothing but the forerunner of magicbands.

Are these available in park?

Finally a place to buy my "I'm with the band" T-shirt.

In case anyone from Disney actually reads this comment, this is sarcasm. The band-related merch is uber lame. Stupid even. Anyone associated with its creation should be sacked. And the people who hired those people should also be sacked. Oh, just sack everyone with decision-making authority in Orlando why doncha.

The "band" shirts remind me of the DisneyParks merch that has appeared in the past... does anyone love or root for a computer system like MM+ or a mid-level wholly owned subsidiary like DisneyParks?

Can we start a scavenger hunt to get a picture of an actual guest in the parks wearing a Magic Band t-shirt? Before they go on the clearance racks? Lou Mongello doesn't count.

I saw this thread, and thought "Must be the logo on em, how bad can they be?". Then I saw that link...

Unbelievably corny. Then again, they do sell the monorail t-shirts (I'm not going to attempt to spell out the spanish phrase) so maybe they are thinking along those lines. Still made me laugh, unfortunately.

At least it's not turning into a Starbucks.
This year or the next, the vandals will rip out a Studios original for Starbucks #1,893,244,122.

Sorry, TDO rejected the $800 million plan for a DHDS make-over. They value engineered it down to MagicBand and the demise of 'Sid' as phase one, and the destruction of another DHS location for $bux as phase 2. Take that, UNI!

I own one of those monorail t-shirts! Wanted to get the turkey leg air freshener too. But these t-shirts are a bit too corny, even for me.
