I would have loved a Disney boat out of New Orleans but oh well. Guess we will go to Florida to cruise and put a Disney world trip on the front or back side of that cruise. LOL Again thanks Tammy for all this new info, many thanks.

Jan. 5, 2015 -- 7 Night Western Caribbean (stops in Key West and Castaway Cay). Stateroom 7062. :inlove:

I would rather have taken a March date, but my daughter won't be able to go in March. So January. It may be cold, but I'm excited about Key West.

Yay for Key West! Never a bad stop to have!

Going to Florida isn't so bad! :) Although New Orleans could still come in the fall of 2015!

Geez, I just checked a 7-night East Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy -- we like going concierge but even the 1-bedroom suite was $16,700 or something insane like that. The Royal was almost $30,000. I just can't believe that.

Well you're checking the absolute extremes :) There are less than 15 1 bedroom suites and only 2 royal suites on the boat.

I realize that - but we've gone concierge before on the new ships for MUCH less than that. I think the prices are inflated.

Well you also didn't say when you were cruising.. that's a huge factor too. My cruise price between 2013 and 2014 for the same dates and basically same stateroom (family verrandah) on the fantasy are very close in cost. $5441 in 2013 and $5398 in 2014.

As for DCL prices being inflated in general.. well.. we know that answer :D

Ha, that's true.

I tried February, which is when we usually cruise. The 1 bedroom was at least $10,000 more than we normally see it on for.

How many people do you have going? Which ship? How long? I booked a 1-bedroom for 2 for the 2/23/15 4-night Dream for under $2700. If you're after a Fantasy sailing, yeah, those tend to be a bit more on the per person/per night cost. I don't ever see us doing a Fantasy 00T unless it's a port upgrade. :D

What the… is going on with the Wonder in Miami? I was just checking it out and the itinerary’s Disney have do not make any sense!

January 4th ends the January 9th so that right.
January 9th ends the January 14th but there is no cruise that departs January 14, Disney has the next cruise departing January 18th. So the 14th to the 18th should be a 4 night Bahamas cruise which isn’t offered.

If Disney was doing al 5 nights out of Miami it would have to be as followed:
Sunday to Friday, Friday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Monday, Monday to Saturday, Saturday to Thursday, Thursday to Tuesday, Tuesday to Sunday.

The issue is Saturday is a heavy docking day at Miami so I don’t know if Disney would dock Saturday. I don’t think they ever have before. Monday is also tough sometimes. I would assume Disney would do a mix of 5 and 4 nights to keep with Sunday departures. Plus Castaway is going to become really busy with now all 4 ships visiting so they gotta work with that to… so confused!

EDIT: Seems February is the same way. Guess Disney didn’t finalize these cruises yet.

Maybe you're right... it must be the Fantasy. Although I checked a 7 night out for maybe Oct in 2014 and I think it was $1,000 a night or so? Now it's $2,000 a night. ARGH!!!!

Anyway, I think we'll stick with 4 nights on the Dream from now on, haha.

My first was a 3 night and I was definitely overwhelmed. I got to the middle of the cruise and realized I wasn't going to have time to do all the stuff I wanted. It was such a whirlwind. After it was over and I had time to really think about everything is when I really fell in love. In the moment everything was whooshing by. LOL!

We did our first Disney cruise in February 2000. I had just taken a tour of the Wonder the previous November and we ended up booking a last minute FL resident deal for a 3-nighter on the Magic. Way too short, for sure, but I did two more three-nighters after that before finally embarking on a 7-night cruise. Now it's very difficult for me to go on anything less than 4 nights!
