There is something inherently bittersweet about this. It reinforces the "DisneyParks" universal branding scheme, reduces exclusivity, and genericizes the merchandise portfolio.
That said, I have used Merchandise Mail Order (telephone) in the past to obtain some things, and this is just that same concept on a new technological, visual level. Plus, most of the stuff I'm interested in at the parks probably will not be added to the website, unless the website offers for sale every single item at any theme park merchandise location or kiosk, which I'm sure is improbable (though not impossible).
If only a few more t-shirt designs would be added...
