Some folks are sarcastic by default (they probably dream using sarcasocolor, a technology that was invented by Steve Martin after a wild drug trip in the 70's)

You mean there are scarcasocolorblind people? How sad.:(

I have to say...when I first read this thread, back when I was brand new to the forums, I thought MKT was an idiotic 12 year old who didn't know what he was talking about.....but now I know better....now I know better...

Totally off-topic, but congrats on the Custodial position! You'll love it! There's no freedom in the World like being a Custodial! Do you already know to which park you're going?

Thanks :D At first I was kind of dissapointed ("Um, cleaning? Helloooo, what about the Jungle Cruise?!") but I've been reading up on it, and now I'm completely stoked. Sounds much better than Quick Service or Merchandising, thats for sure! Unfortunately, in the CareerStart program, they won't tell you specifically where you're working ahead of time, because you aren't "officially" working for them until you sign the paperwork down in Florida....however, I'm tooootally crossing my fingers for the Magic Kingdom!!

really? hmmm... i never thought of it like that. if you're seroius, i'll put that on my "low stress jobs to apply for when my son finishes college" list (serious list) ... though I'm only 33 years old i am planning retirement and want to keep myself tender for jobs that exhibit that word 'freedom' you use.

Totally serious. You gotta handle with garbage, sometimes bathrooms and the occasional angry Guest, but you still can watch both parades and the fireworks every day. :D

I'd go ask the Underminer...he shold be around the Incredibles somewhere.

Another good tip...If you park at Downtown Disney, it will take you hours to reach the theme parks from all the transfering. But Hey, you can park for Free!

I'm suprised that no one picked up on that direct quote from the CP video.
Being in custodial isn't a bad job.
My roomate on the College Program was in custodial, and a woman came up to him asking for his broom and dust pan to pick up the popcorn that her child spilled. He said that he would do it for her, and she said no, and took the broom from him picked up her childs popcorn than gave the broom and dustpan back to him...Amazing.

That is too funny, but also soooo true. WDW was the best job I have ever had, the guests there (well, most of em) are a blast to serve.

You can get free parking at WDW easily but you must have either:

-A Siren
-An extensive police escort
-Realistic puppets of the cast of "Friends" shoved in the back

there is a way to get past the parking toll for mk by saying your staying at the fort wilderness lodge all the way on the right side on world dr. continue and make a left on W seven seas dr. then another left on floridian way like your going to car care center but keep left. before the road merges to world dr. there is a road on the left that takes you right behind the parking toll and just continue to your parking space and have fun.
This is called cheating... and tips on cheating on the Mouse are not allowed, and will be treated accordingly on these boards...
