Driving home, listening to Radio365 (Mouseworld Radio 2), a thought struck me:

If you had to choose only one park's music to listen to for the rest of your life, which park would it be? Any and all music/soundtrack/background sounds would be available, but only from one park.

I'd pick Epcot!
I know this question is going to sound :lookaroun but how do you get mouseworld radio on the car radio? I listen on my computer but I would live in my car!
thanks:)

I have the Live 365 app on my iphone. Dig around on Live365's site if you don't have a cell phone. It looked like too much hassle hooking up in car.

I agree with you guys completely that the music in the other two parks are not "Iconic", but I do believe that the other two need recognition. Im guilty of choosing Epcot, but I have to defend the underdogs.
....
Im guilty of picking Epcot, but I felt like I should defend the music of both Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Its really hard for me to choose the best park for music, Walt Disney World does a great job in bringing theming and music together to create that atmosphere that you emerse your senses in.

:wave:Lets add resort to this list only to make the voting fair, dont get me started on the Wilderness Lodge area loop:sohappy:

I think you're spot on in your assessments of those park's music. Actually, after reading your thoughts on AK, I realized just how much I enjoy it's music!

I think DHS has good music too, Tower of Terror is perfect as you note, but the Twilight Zone theme can get a little tiresome after a while. The queue music is great though.

You make some great points about the positives of the music/soundtracks to both parks. Well done!

I have the Live365 app on my iphone and an igriffin fm transmitter that pipes my iphone's music and sounds through my car's speakers. What I can use (or similar to what I use) can be found here:

http://www.google.com/products/cata...og_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CEYQ8wIwBA#

They may make an update version that is better suited for the new iphones/ipods, but I wouldn't know since I've had this particular device for a couple of years now.

It really works great and makes listening to Live365 easy. It's fun being able to drive to and from work listening to the sounds of the park! Especially at night, when the firework shows are being played!

Hmmm. If we're talking both EPCOT Center and Epcot together that makes this a tough task, but MK will have to win because of the classics like GGG and COP etc.

My choices would be:

1. Epcot
2. Animal Kingdom
3. Magic Kingdom
4. Disney's Hollywood Studios

This was a VERY hard decision. I'm still not certain about 2-3.

Magic Kingdom's soundtrack might get a little saccharine after a while. After all, it would include the cliché of annoying songs, "It's a Small World (After All)."

Epcot, on the other hand, has a rich diversity of international music, stuff rooted in reality, not in lollipops and cotton candy. And its new age/classical selections are superb. Gotta go with that.

Which is precisely why I would choose Magic Kingdom!

I prefer "lollipops and cotton candy", and the "saccarine" optimism and Fantasy of It's A Small World, and all of the Fantasy-based stuff in the MK, over "reality"! :)

And if MK is tops in my Theme Park, and Theme Park music, pecking order, than nothing is more tops in my MK pecking order than the Fantasy-based, character-based attractions that occupy Fantasyland and Toontown, and the music (both songs and loops) that accompanies them!

My MK fave music also includes the cute, fantasy-based, character-based attractions in other lands of the MK, such as Splash Mountain, Country Bear Jamboree, and Tiki Room.

Of course, MK also has my favorite parade soundtrack, the MSEP, and my favorite WDW Christmas music (from the parade, fireworks, castle show, and music loops)

Of course, the other parks all have their highlights for me as well. It's really hard to pick a second fave, and I agree with those who say the music of Animal Kingdom and the Studios is underated!

Epcot comes in strong with "One Little Spark" and the complete soundtrack to both the first and third versions of Journey Into Imagination (the two versions featuring Figment). Other Epcot musical faves for me include "Big Blue World" from The Seas and the defunct Kitchen Kabaret show, and both versions of the Mexico boat ride.

The Studios comes in strong with lots of songs from the Disney Animated Classics used as BGM in the Animation Courtyard, as well as the soundtracks to the Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast shows, and the awesome Wizard of Oz elements of the Great Movie Ride!

And AK has the wonderful preshow loop for It's Tough To Be A Bug, soundtracks to the Nemo and Lion King shows, and parade soundtracks, as well as some of my favorite instrumental BGM loops at any of the parks.

Here is a more comprehensive (though not complete) list of many of my musical faves from MK, Epcot, Studios, and AK:

This truly was a hard decision for me to make, but I ultimately went with Epcot.

The fact that a lot of the MK's music is also heard at DL made Epcot the winner for me. While the MK does have quite a bit of music that is or never was heard in Anaheim, it wasn't enough to beat Epcot's vast history of amazing music - past and present.
