I still think they are probably easier than girls.

I have 2 girls who share a small (10 x 10) room.

They fight constantly, but the little one (9) is usually the instigator. I don't think it makes a difference...boys or girls...siblings fight. :lol:

My SIL still has a scar from the hammer my DH hit her with, but he always makes it clear that he was aiming at my OTHER SIL, but she ducked. :lol:

I'm not sure HOW my mother survived 4 boys! They were always blowing things up, setting things on fire, bringing home wild animals, etc. I just remember being surrounded by males my whole life. Boy was I happy when my firstborn was a girl.

I hear the same thing from just about everybody:

Boys start out difficult, and get easier.
Girls are just the opposite.

My parents had it easy. My brother and I just didn't fight. We've been on great terms from the moment he popped out. That's not to say we didn't have our moments, but they were few and far between, and never terrible.

Mom, that is JUST HOW I FEEL. My life was Crazy with 3 older brothers. I was either picked on to no end, or very protected. I too was so happy to have a girl, I thought I would have to go through 3 boys to get one. I would be happy with another girl, but my gut feeling is this one is a boy. I am bit worried (remembering what my brothers were like) but I also have to remember who the father will be. My hubby is such a great guy, I guess I can handle his son. :sohappy:

I'm an only child and just fine with that. Mind you, only children are often spoiled brats! :lol: My mom has a sister who is much older than her and she did nothing my terrorize my mom when they were little. My dad has two younger sisters and did nothing but terrorize them (he used to wrap my aunt Denise up in carpet and roll her down the cellar stairs!). My aunt Elaine (mom's sister) has 4 kids 2 girls and 2 boys. They are all adults now (Danielle, the youngest, has her own son now) but they still act like children and the sibling rivalry there is insane. My aunt Denise has 2 kids, 1 girl (5) and 1 boy (9) and they actually get along very well. My aunt Doreen has 2 girls (Caitie is 3 and Cassie is 4 months). Caitie is a handful and I don't think she likes all the attention that her baby sister gets.

I'd have to say that 4 is a bit too many. Shoot for 2 or 3.

I, on the other hand, am never having any kids at all. :lol:

The good thing about coming from large families is that our kids would have to go pretty far to top the antics of the "older" generation. :lol:

(I was a pretty wild teenager. I just didn't do anything TOO illegal, unlike my brothers. )

Well, I am hoping that the more kids I have, the less likely I will have one who will want to put me away in some home when I am in my 70's. :lol:

I think 3 is good, but (again) I will be very lucky and blessed if I can have at least one. Sounds like, from all of your postings, you have all been blessed with some big families. Congrats to you all.

Now, about names... I am fond of Donald, Mickey, Peter, Sleepy, or Belle?

Oh the stories my grandparents have told me about my uncles and father :lol:

1. Live fish in the bathtub
2. Woods out back on fire from "Fun with Fireworks"
3. Butter on the kitchen floor so R/C cars could do really cool "spin-outs"
4. Pet raccoon in the toybox (Shhh...mom will never know!)

My wife is afraid of turning into the "van mom", although I think it will be necessary when we have 6 kids. Although, I will probably end up driving it and she will get something sporty.

Does squirting kids with a water bottle work? ...like in Austin Powers? :lol: :hammer:

As the mother of 2 boys (10 & 16) I can say that this is true.

My friends who have daughters are having a wretched time. One of them said that she is soooo relieved when her daughter is out of the house because it is the only time she gets any peace.

Girls "turn" on their mothers at puberty. Freud would say that the daughter is competing with the mother for the attention of the father. (do with that information what you will)

I have had 2 children, then I had 3; now I have 2.
Two is definitely easier.

How much traveling are you planning on doing with your children?

Remember, most hotel rooms have 2 beds. Families of 5 or more do not, generally speaking, have good choices.

Remember, at WDW, you are limited to a deluxe (except AKL and WL) or POR(FQ).

My friend with 4 kids just has a fit because their hotel costs are double everytime they travel.

Mom's have changed...and now...so has the mini-van.

Not only sweet inside...the exterior ain't too shabby neither!

Had a Safari van that lasted for 10 years, 8 seater...great for school trips.
Then I got a Blazer (always wanted one & I finally got it)...hated it. There was no room & only seats 5.( made it thru 2 years of my lease)
Now I have an Astro Van (another 8 seater). AWD, anti lock brakes & I love it. :sohappy:
Three rows of seats so each kid has her own space...no fighting on the drive to WDW!

I'm 4 of 5 kids and I had a blast growing up my sister and brothers! Funny thing, the middle child ended up being the most self-motivated with the youngest coming in a close second. I think I ended up as the "middle child" that kinda took his time discovering what I wanted to do in life.

My wife and I will have our little girl any day now and I think we'll be done. Two is just great with us. Our home is already overrun with toys with just one, so a second means I'll have to rent an apartment for some personal space.....:hammer:
