Sorry but people do act like they are above it here at times. I usually just forward through those as much as possible and just get to the content. And I'm not saying people can't be critical. But there is a difference between being critical and just insulting. I would never bother talking to people whose posts are in the latter and they shouldn't either.
I will say that I don't think anyone here... um, I don't think *most* people here post with the intention of hurting anyone's feelings.

OK fair enough. And for the record, I'm far from perfect as well and said plenty of things I have regretted later. But sometimes I wish people were a little more thoughtful, but that's the internet in general.

One can be passionately enthusiastic about a pop art creation and still keep it in perspective.

Yes, but quite often I see people's online passionate Disneyland rumblings go off the rails. There's a bit more perspective at WDWMagic than other places I've posted, yet there's still a degree of rigidity of opinion that I sometimes can't quite wrap my head around. Maybe you're right when you say people just like to argue. Whatever though, it's all good.

Or maybe they’re nice people that are trying to have some fun at Disneyland.

Why the need to be a viscous bully toward two people you’ve never met?

I wasn't "bullying" in any way, but then I'm from a generation where bullying was a real thing that generally involved physical contact and not simply valid criticism of public performances. My statements were factual about them; he is a 45 year old man who dresses like a 16 year old boy, and she has had a lot of botox and seems unusually impressed with almost everything she sees. Again, all facts.

I didn't even mention my personal opinion about them, but I can go ahead and do that now for you since you brought it up; that they are both mildly annoying personalities (that may just be for YouTube though, perhaps they are normal in real life) and they seem to be on a click-bait treasure hunt trying to get people to boost their for-profit channel and donate cash money to them via their Patreon site. But that's just my opinion, others are free to disagree and send them some cash via Patreon. I did find their video of recent construction progress to be visually informative however, which is why I posted it here.

We can chalk up my secondary comment about losing brain cells to pure criticism. I'm the Rex Reed of Disneyland message boards, but slightly less snarky. :D

Theme park vloggers deserve to be teased, especially when they gasp and swoon over everything. It's called criticism. If they post videos, it's part of the deal. We're just commenting on how they're presenting themselves in their product.

And, seriously, if you call that post "Viscous bullying," count yourself lucky, because you've apparently never had to deal with a real, genuine, safety-threatening ACTUAL bully. I have, and so have many others here.

What he said! Viscous, vicious, or otherwise.

But you we're. You might not be under the impression that you were, or you may not consider that to qualify, but it does and you were. You were being rude and trash talking people based on their appearance, completely unprovoked. That's like... textbook definition.

So I'm assuming you have the receipts then?
Scary to me that we're living in the age of "my opinion or perceived observation is fact because I believe it to be so".

We need to bring back bullying so stupid people aren't allowed to thrive. You think the Star Wars community would be as toxic as it is if we didn't stop bullying nerds who obsess over that junk?

IMO, I think we need to be careful to draw a clear line between actual, harmful bullying and simply being a harsh critic.
Frankly, I think we've somehow convinced ourselves as a society that nowadays, criticism in ANY form is to be viewed as a bad thing. Most artists and creatives are encouraged to simply, "ignore the haters" point blank, even if that "hater" might have a valid critique to offer. "They don't like or agree with what you're doing/saying? Just ignore them! Clearly they're just mean, stupid bullies!" Furthermore, I also think society today has bred egos that are a bit too fragile, especially among the lesser "celebrities".

By contrast, taking from a discussion on the SWL thread, the actress who played Rose was getting bullied to the point where threats were being made to her person. THAT is disgusting and egregious and totally unnecessary. I don't think any of that was going on here, or ever has to my recollection.

As long as you are happy with what you do, wear, talk, etc. I don't care what you do. You aren't me and your life choices don't affect my life.

I don't mind those vloggers. You don't have to watch them if you don't like them. And not everyone's going to like you or how you act, but that doesn't mean you should change it. You do you.
