Semi-related... The Incredibles' new Incredicoastery home is on Zillow now!

The marketing for this movie has become ridiculous and complete overkill. Are they afraid if they don't market it so much it's going to bomb? It's The Incredibles 2. They don't need to be marketing on Zillow and creating cheap overlays in the parks for it to make over a billion.

How dare you have an independent thought. You’re supposed to hop on the hype train like everyone else.

The whole family is obnoxious.

I am sort of surprised at the incredibly (no pun intended) eager and excited reaction the general 20-something fanbase has had to this movie coming out. I mean I thought the original was fine but I don't recall it being Frozen level popular and it's not a classic by any stretch of the imagination.

You have to remember the context of its release - at the time, animation was in a drought. Disney was churning out pure unadulterated garbage like Home on the Range and Chicken Little. The Incredibles was earth-shattering at the time, and there are a lot of people who were young then and are adults now who were really shaped by Pixar films like this and Nemo since Disney left a void.

I've soured on Pixar in general as they've become unreliable with film quality, and the way the parks deals with their IP stinks to high heaven, but I am VERY excited for this film. As long as it's good, it will be a highlight of the year.

Makes sense. I was in college by that point so I don't have that nostalgic view of it. Just like those older than me probably aren't as taken with the Disney films of the early and mid 90's as I am. When the original came out, I was definitely more interested, film wise, in Star Wars and HP, not the latest Disney or Pixar flick.

I grew up in the 2000s with Pixar. That's why I like the Pixar Play Parade and Toy Story Land and Cars Land because it brings back my childhood. But stuff like Pixar Pier and Pixar Fest I'm not excited for because the quality doesn't live up to my nostalgia and memories with the company. Most teens feel like Pixar Pier is an insult to the company that they grew up with and loved.

Yes, the way the parks handle Pixar IP is embarrassing.
