FWIW, our opinion of the churro challenge is that it's a total cash grab and quite dumb really. As if anyone needed a map to find churro carts. But we DID buy the map and get our button....because we wanted it, lol. We bought one churro.

Lol - David, is that you?

I mean someone's gotta do it so we don't right?

The ad is definately slick and enticing, but all the rides shown in it have been there for at least 10 years.

And the B Roll they used for the live action shots has been around for 10 years too. They made some CGI aerial shots of the Pier, spliced in some circa 2012 B Roll of happy-shiny families at DCA, and smooshed it between generic Pixar clips from various movies. Send the intern to Starbucks, cause we're done!

I am still reserving judgment on the final product. But this commercial will satisfy 95% of consumers west of Denver who know there's another park next to Disneyland that has the cool Cars Ride and the hang glider thing they liked that one time.

To bad we are not getting a monsters inc coaster to go with that commercial segment.
They really should get rid of the long building behind the incredicoaster and build a large attraction building

THIS! It looks like they could fit two decent sized E Tickets in that space behind Incredicoaster. Here's hoping we get a Wall-E and Coco ride! Or at the very least a Ratatouille clone.

How often has a ride actually been moved in the history of Disneyland? Other than Flick's Flyers, which hasn't been moved yet, I can't think of one let along a complex dark ride.
I can’t think of an example of a ride that’s moved from somewhere in Disneyland to somewhere else in Disneyland, but IASW, Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, and the Railroad dioramas were moved from the World’s Fair. Carousel of Progress moved from the World’s Fair to Disneyland and then from Disneyland to WDW.

Those were brought in from outside and are not what I'm talking about.

The Teacups, Dumbo, and King Author's Carousel have all been moved before.

I'd be good if they moved Monsters Inc ride to the Pier. It could use another dark ride, and I think that one's pretty good!

Darkrides aren't really moveable. It's building a new attraction. Sure, you can recycle the ride system and AA's and some sets, but not even all of the sets can be easily moved without causing enough damage to them that it'd be better to just build them anew. Plus, moving an attraction doesn't bring in new crowds. Better to let the past die and built something new.

That was my frame of mind when I said rides really haven't moved. When they "moved" the Carousel of Progress from DL to MK they had to build a new building and infrastructure. The only thing that got "moved" were the AA figures and set decorations. Same goes for IASW. Dumbo and Astro Orbitor are new ride mechanisms so they really never got "moved". I guess King Arthur's Carousel is really the only ride to actually move. I wonder if the Inside Out ride is a new mechanism or just the old mechanism with new buckets.

Now if you want to talk rides being moved, Six Flags has a program where roller coasters are always moved from park to park on a certain time schedule.
