Who cares who it's aimed at? Asking anyone to pay that for 6 hours in one park is ridiculous. APs and Vloggers have already paid hundreds of dollars for admission to the park and experienced all of these rides probably dozens of times each. So how is it any better to ask them to pay this? Or any less silly for them to pay it?

I get what you and the others are saying. I woudn't pay for it either. But if someone is willing to pay, then who cares. No one is forcing anyone to pay, its their choice.

I think what everyone is frustrated about is that Disney used to be about creating unique, quality experiences that were so popular they could charge a premium price for them.

And now they are literally trying to make up things where you get absolutely nothing yet they are charging out the wazoo for it.

Whether it's $300 for six hours in DCA to ride three things that have been closed for three months. Or asking APs to give Disney $5 to get a piece of paper that show four photos of churros they can buy at full price. Then after purchasing all four churros, they can get a button that literally costs $.01 to make that they'll be giving away for free soon when no one buys the churro maps.

Look at it a different way, really you are getting frustrated by someone spending money on what Disney is offering. If someone wasn't buying it Disney wouldn't be offering it.

Is it a cheap corporate tactic, absolutely. But until there are no buyers, Disney isn't going to stop selling. So this all comes down to Disneyland APs are willing to spend money on anything and everything that Disney throws at them. Say what you want, but that is the heart of the issue, APs willingness to spend money.

That's why I call them idiots.

Why again is "Lamplight Lounge" not just "Remy's By The Sea" or "Remy's Ocean Club" ???

World Famous Chef Remy from Paris opens a restaurant on the pier. Boom.

Oh, right. Budget. If it only took a month to reskin that complex into Lamplight Lounge, I'm not confident it couldn't see more dramatic changes in another phase of the project.

Because that would require Walt Disney Imagineering and/or the corporate executives to have an understanding of the source material with the ability to contextually apply it. For all intents and purposes Pixar Pier does none of that.

I agree. This location has a ton of potential, and could use a lot of help. It has been improved somewhat, but only somewhat.

On the bright side, @TP2000 was able to morph “Lamplight Lounge” into the topical nickname “Lasseter’s Lair”, and I desperately want to make that a thing. Also, don’t forget that, without Lasseter’s Lair concept art, we never could have seen Table Puppet Chapek.
