So Laughing Place is saying Blue Sky Cellar reopens this weekend with (as previously rumored) an exhibit on Pixar Pier. They also say there will be a working rollercoaster on display!? They gotta mean that model, right?

Can we discuss how cheap this looks?

(Is this a Pixar Fest thread too?)

It does look like bad photoshop, but if that's what its going to look like, I can't. It's too cheap.

You seem surprised. It's a temporary and corny overlay of a cheap pizza joint in Tomorrowland that everyone agrees has terrible food. We've known for months this wasn't going to be high point for DLR.

The way it's supposed to work is that you get worked up when they go above and beyond for campaigns like this one. I wouldn't go to Pixar Fest if it was across the street from my house, and I was almost certain of that from the first announcement last summer.

Really, presenting a graphic as amateurish as this on their official website is really jarring. The crude cartoon outlining of the slapped-on banner, among other things, screams cheap and fake. It may be a small detail, but it was an unnecessary detail. Better to leave your audience intrigued by mystery, if only very slightly, than to confirm their fears.

Truthfully, I hoped to be surprised. I didn't give the Red Rose a second thought until I visited in December and tried it at a friend's behest. The decor was delightful and I found the food to be the same. It had been ages since I ate at the Village Haus and I hadn't missed it. However, I'll be glad to return to the Red Rose. It would be nice if this provided some redemption for a pizza place whose claim to fame is a unanimous shrug.

WE HAVE THE ANSWER!

The circle inside screamin/incredicoaster's loop will say "Pixar Pier." Not sure why the text couldn't be in big letters on the coaster itself while the perfect ball shape is dedicated to the pixar ball, rather than cramming both into the circular billboard in the loop, or why the incredicoaster says pixar pier and has a ball on it but no incredibles mention or logo, but regardless, we have our answer. And my concerns about the text being too small to read from across the water were probably wrong, as even the mattercam can pick them up.

It’s always a good time to visit Tokyo Disney!

To be fair I think most used to the North American way would find their refurbishment schedule shocking. You've got to be a bit careful navigating that one if you are a one and done Tokyo visitor.

If there is ever all attractions open (which perhaps almost never occurs), you know it's not the time to visit. Plus there are some possible horrible, horrible crowded periods.

The only park that it's almost always ok to visit is Hong Kong.
