You may be right. I see some purple tones in the upper part of the wheel in that photo, and the lighting and camera settings could be throwing off the color rendition in the photo.

Sorry to disappoint you! Although I think they are trying to make the wheel/midway mania roofs match, so the red tubes stand out?

There is a blue glare on the palm trees and the scream tubes also. Just the filter/photo. They haven't painted where there isn't scaffolding.

It does give that impression. As for this logo, I'm not sure I'd say it's low rent, but it's in the economy range.

Agreed. I'm bothered by the idea of a gigantic logo from a film plastered up high on a structure that many consider to be an iconic feature of DCA. If this is indeed what they are doing it's extremely tacky.
