I just came back from the Magic kingdom and there was imagineers on the roofs of mainstreet and the spotlights that Mk used before the Msep started were out. Anyone know why they were out?

Maybe they are planning to update them to the color changing leds they installed in the hub? Perhaps for HEA?

While WDW is without a light parade Universal should build one, or bring in Magical Starlight from Japan. Though some changes would have to be made.

Agreed. Why Universal hasn't figured out how to do proper night time entertainment (outside of the seasonal events) is beyond me. It's almost as if they want to close up shop at 8 or 9 PM during most of the year even if the parks remain busy. Having some decent evening entertainment could really help them manage to stay open till 11 or 12 especially now that crowds are starting to justify later closings.

I think if changes were being made to the rooftop lighting, which if so would likely be for HEA, there would have been a permit filed. Whether there has been I don't know. Maybe @danlb_2000 would know?

Let's play nice.
Agreed. While Disney2017's posts may have a semblance to a certain DJ, that, by no means, calls for a witch hunt. As of now, as far as I know (which is not everything), PtN is not planned for WDW (as has been said). DLR's extension is a triple whammy of promotional cash flow, lower cost to run, and extended refurb for PtN. And considering that two of those come back for a boost when PtN returns, they would not want to miss out. Especially since OneDisney is dead.

There is a difference between posting a rumor (however unfounded it might be) or posting something offensive, inflammatory, or needlessly argumentative. One of those two options would be a ban-able offense, the other, not so much methinks, even if you do find it irritating. I'll let everyone figure out which one I think is which.

If anyone has a problem with a poster, please just use the report post option. It would take a huge staff to read every single post on every single thread, and then there would be even more complaints about inconsistent moderating. Believe it or not, there are dozens of irritating posters with similar posting styles around here; I wish they were all the same person so I could ban him/her once and for all. ;)

Hopefully Magic Feather better explaining the situation can calm the ... panic some feel over PTN ... I also think if Disney said a date we'd be spared a lot of this back and forth and people getting themselves worked up

Exactly! Now that it's clear PTN won't make it to WDW for the summer, the next rumors we will be hearing is Well maybe the fall .

My friend that is a cm at WDW and works backstage has been hearing quite a bit of drama from the parade executives about nighttime parades... At least it's good to know that they are thinking about nighttime parades.
