Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

Not gonna happen. WDW fans who wanted DLs PTN at WDW need to accept it's over and they are either stuck with MSEP or nothing at all until the 50th!

Honestly PTN Not going to WDW is a good thing, in the long run.. This means WDW will actually get their own parade!! And who knows it may even be a better version than Disneylands PTN, just like Disneylands version was better than Hong Kong's with extra floats.

Or more likely WDW will have nothing at all TDO wants those guests shopping and dining not sitting on the curb for an hour not spending money

Well they can't exactly spend more time shopping and dining if the park closes 2 hours earlier than it used to every day and everyone leaves after fireworks because there's no reason for them to stay in the park later.

A new Miceage Update has just arrived a few days before D23 Expo.

The Miceage crew is doubling down on their reporting that Paint The Night is moving over to Disney California Adventure, this time reporting the move will happen by Thanksgiving this year. Apparently a trip to WDW isn't so "inevitable" after all. http://micechat.com/166257-miceage-disneyland-rumor-update-bye-bye-buggies/

But then, anything can happen and anything can change.

Pffft... If their info didn't come from Twitter, a tram driver, or from a DL "parade manager", then it's no good. All those people who are reporting PTN is going to DCA are just deniers of the truth (according to only one person), and PTN is coming to WDW. ;)

Hey, when those Disneyland "parade managers" aren't busy ripping green tape up off the ground around the corn dog cart and talking to bloggers on the curb, they are back in a secret conference room in TDA strategizing major financial/marketing initiatives for future fiscal years. :D

Those who think PTN will get a announcement at D23 might be disappointed. I think it's way to early for a announcement on this.

I think it's too minor of an announcement to waste time on it at D23, unless they cancel other announcements and need to fill time.

Plus, extremely reputable insider @GiveMeTheMusic has just told us over on the Disneyland forum that the Paint The Night floats are being modified, and the trolley wires will remain for DCA as the parade moves over to California Adventure later this year. The very tall Frozen float is being rebuilt as an all-new float based on some other movie, with a lower profile that can fit under DCA's trolley wires.

Paint The Night is apparently moving all right... across the Esplanade to Disney California Adventure.

Reminds me of when MSEP (Called Disney's Electrical Parade) moved over to DCA back in 2001

So basically, all of the insiders here (and multiple other posters) who reported that PTN was not being moved to WDW were correct, and that one single poster who kept this thread alive by insisting that he heard, via Twitter, tram drivers, and a "parade exec" in DL, that PTN was moving to WDW was wrong all along. I guess there was a good reason that person joined a very exclusive group when I added him to my 'Ignore' list after dealing with his drivel for months.

Keep the MSEP in California and retire it, once and for all. It was great, and holds many, many good memories for many people, but it's well past the time it should have been retired.

And TDO needs to get off the butts, crack open the cover on their dusty checkbook, and get the ball rolling so that a new nighttime parade gets built in time for WDW's 50th (and hopefully a little sooner, like late 2020).

MagicFeather, Martin, GiveMeTheMusic, and the others. I just got sick of all those insiders posting solid, reliable information all the time. :p

IMHO, @marni1971 is a Disney Legend, or at least his computer and video equipment is. :D Don't have to words to say how much I respect him and everything he's done since I joined the online Disney community 15 or so years ago.

People like Martin deserve to be CEO of the Disney Parks.
