Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

The Paint the night parade has went off the Disneyland Website could this mean it's not coming back? When it went away in Sept it was still on the website.
I thought I saw it yesterday......weird. MC is still saying PTN is back for summer, along with F!, and that rumored SW pyro show. Hopefully we'll be close to F! when MSEP ends!
Just hope that it will be a good show or disney world is Toast
IDK about Toast but they need to start doing better! Lately, TDO been doing just enough to get a passing mark! Not Good!
Also could a New nighttime parade be coming to wdw in 2017? On this page it says there are rumor's of a New firework show and Evening Parade http://www.beyondthekingdoms.com/si...OR-New-Fireworks-Show-Coming-to-Magic-Kingdom
That article's from Fall where a new pyro show turned into Once Upon A Time so I don't think we can go by that article anymore.

Both. There may be fireworks changes in the next few months but I don't believe it's a new show yet.

There's also a chance the recent pyro additions to the projection show are what's meant.
Well, if TDO wants to do something quick, they could put the rest of TDL's pyro into OUAT. That would be a step in the right direction.

Ops must be loving not having a night parade to worry about. Four more years to go without a night parade. Their hope, IMO, is clearly that guests get used to not having one. I don't trust them to give us one in 2021 either. I'm sure it's part of the plan but we know these things can change :( Sorry but this time I'm taking a doom and gloom approach, LOL. They can't even bother with FoF at night.

Well, isn't it a bigger deal to "give" people a night parade if they take the old one away for an extended period first? It seems Disney has perfected the approach of taking things away to make people even hungrier for the new stuff that comes years later. :(

Maybe they won't have to actually budget extra money for a new parade if they save enough not running the old one for a few years first.

Why no nighttime light parade? The park has had one almost since it opened. I can't understand why they wouldn't want to do one again.

The 60th celebration was very successful for DLR. I can't imagine they aren't salivating at the thought of replicating that in Orlando.
I'm sure the 60th was a big money maker for DL and I definitely agree that TDO probably wants to replicate that success. With that said, I don't think it would've been such a success without new entertainment additions like Paint the Night, Disneyland Forever and World of Color: Celebrate. Along with various other improvements for the 60th, if TDO doesn't do that for MK and the three other parks for the 50th, I don't see it being as much of a success.

Oh, I know that.

And you know that.

Whether the decision makers in Orlando know that remains to be seen. It seems like a pretty easy to identify part of the equation. People didn't show up in droves to say Happy Birthday to the parks. They showed up in droves because of the wide variety of high quality offerings in the parks. But it's also not a stretch to see WDW trying to cheap out. That seems to be their MO of late.

@marni1971 you think 4-5 years would be a good run for MSEP at DLR and then it can be brought back to the MK? Just me being cynical I guess....
According to Disney, originally MSEP is slated to run from January - June and then it glows away forever. However MSEP came to WDW in June 2010 for a temporary run just for the summer, that lasted 6 years.

Exactly. Disney has a very ambiguous definition of temporary. Such as the "temporary" festival food kiosks at Epcot...

A cross country trip is still "cheaper" than developing something new.
Oh definietly, no debate on that. I just would think so many cross country trips are putting extra wear and tear on an already pretty worn parade. Also, from the original understanding, TDA asked for it back, with "One Disney" being split, I don't think TDO swill even try to get it back. I also don't see Burbank forcing TDA to give it to TDO.

Only $$$ will tell. The fact that there is nothing on the radar other than tired rumors would tend to indicate that if the MK gets another nighttime parade it will: not be anytime soon and be a hand-me-down from somewhere else.

Is the competition between TDA and TDO that intense that they would deliberately act to spite each other? Sounds like poor leadership at the top to me, unless Iger likes gladiators....
