I don't see what this has to do with the thread topic. Considering the question posed in the title has been answered maybe it's time for a lock?

This is a bit off topic but still related to MSEP, but I just noticed that the former Paris version of MSEP was extremely short and felt empty compared to the other versions.

During it's final years at Disneyland Paris in the early 2000's the floats were out of order and some floats such as the Alice,Snow White, and Cinderella sections were missing. And why does Elliot looked like he got hit by a shovel?

DLP was a LOT worse at keeping MSEP at full power than TDO was! I think it was a staffing issue. I wish DLP would just be open later so they could do a night parade again along with Dreams! Esp. with the 25th coming up!

Looks good! Anyone know if DL is really upgrading the floats? Sure doesn't look like it's on its farewell tour in the banners! If it's still living after June,,,could TDO get it back????? MSEP...Esp. after it got a referb from DLR is a LOT better than what MK has now..NOTHING!

When DLP was running the MSEP it was going through its sad cash starved, debt ridden existence.

Fast forward to the 20th when Fantillusion ran at 1030pm, Dreams at 11, and it was the norm for regular guests to still be on Main St at midnight, every night, during the summer.

Sorry but, DLP SHOULD HAVE kept that going! So, its open late enough to do the two, so what!

I'm having a feeling that DL wanted to upgrade the floats since they probably want to give MSEP proper love and care and will possibly be the final run for the parade (Hopefully for real this time) and they want to show while the parade is still over 40 years old it still needs some love. After all MSEP is treated with respect compared to TDO. Then again this is speculation until we finally see the parade return to DL next Friday. And if the parade is running it's very last run this year then DL will definitely not be shipping MSEP back to Orlando after how bad of a shape it was at WDW. At least it wasn't as bad as Paris but it was still showing it's age.

Isn't Fantillusion supposed to return sometime this Summer during the 25th Anniversary? I heard it was either getting new floats or getting a major refurb but I might be wrong.

Since TDO has no float maintenance facilities, according to a CM I spoke with at DL in September 2016, it's no surprise that any TDO parade float is in rough shape after a few years. Plus, we all know how they store unused parade floats in Orlando...

Other than the usual bottom-line-focused, "but it'll costs money!!!!!" TDO logic, it's unfathomable to me why Orlando has no float maintenance facility. You know what... The slow but steady removal of parades in Orlando is now making more and more sense. No parades means lower OpEx, higher margins, and... "They're tourists... Whadda they know?".

I wish TDO made there own float maintenance in the future. They need to create one as WDW gets close to it's 50th Anniversary.
