There has to be a larger plan with this right? It seems strange to make an IP land with no attraction. Like a Big Hero 6 Princess Fantasy Faire except they're marketing it as a new land and not part of a larger area.

Nope. Just them IPifying something because it’s a “nondescript” land with no characters. Their is also not a solitary piece of merch being sold in that land so they are correcting that.

EDIT: Ghirardelli has a few items for sale.

It's also a very landlocked piece of property. To expand it beyond the existing walls and kitchens, they would need to remove the second DCA parade warehouse built quickly in 2002 to house the Electrical Parade floats when that came back in a panic as a "California Classic!"

Here's the landlocked perimeter of Pacific Wharf; a collection of restaurants with kitchen facilities attached, entirely surrounded by existing rides/lands (Cars Land and Pixar Pier) or the lagoon on its north side. There's no where for this area to expand to, unless they were to remove a restaurant for a entrance facade leading to an Indy-style hallway queue that further leads to a narrow show building built where the existing parade warehouse is now to its south. The parade warehouse in question is marked with the red question mark ? in this photo and extends to the south out of the photo...

It is mildly confusing, especially given that there doesn't seem to be a future for Big Hero Six. What I find consternating is that the guest benefit from this will be negligible for all but the serious fans of the film and the budget they are using could rather have improved other, needier parts of California Adventure.

I think you're on the right track, but is there even a shop in the land? I thought it was all a sort of food court, but perhaps they are adding a store.

No shops. I feel like they might just add an outdoor cart like the ROTR cart in GE.

I love that a lot of it was about a poster with the username CaptainEO.
Is it? Genuinely confused as I don't recall
posting in this thread recently. Not sure it was a response to me. Unless I'm not remembering.

edit: Oh yes I did call them out for not accurately casting pacific islanders and having them portrayed in the parks by people of latin american descent, despite being the company of diversity and inclusion. Guess this is deletion worthy on this board? No idea why.

No idea either. A poster tired to insinuate that you were racist over it. It got ugly. I came to your defense and it is all gone. Someone posted the popcorn gif and it humored me that it was your username and a pic of MJ.

Glad to see DCA is finally getting its own equivalent to New Orleans Square. Just like when New Orleans Square opened in 1966, this will also feature no rides.

Oh wow well thank you! I missed all of this apparently. That's weird how calling out inaccurate representation can be viewed that way. I think it'd be great to have Pacific Islanders playing their characters in the parks.
