Out of state annual pass holders

One thing to remember - the AP does include park hopping. If you usually buy a park hopper that can change the math too.
I’d say eliminating that ridiculous fee (not that you don’t pay for it) from the regular tickets is the key benefit.

If you have an AP…you don’t need to pound parks a day at a time…so park hopping helps blunt the awful weather and relaxes you some.

I don’t even know the last time I did a “full day”…but it was probably like 25 years ago 😂

Yes .. I will also take that into consideration .. after 2pm correct.. thank you.

Still need park reservations for any day before 2pm, but after 2pm you don't. (except where listed below)
  • Park Hopper Benefit:
Once the passholder has entered the park for which they have a reservation, they can then utilize the Park Hopper benefit to visit other parks.
    BUUUT

    Magic Kingdom on Weekends:
While park hopping is generally available at any time, there is an exception for Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays. Passholders need a reservation to enter Magic Kingdom as their first park on those days, even after 2:00 PM.

I would imagine the reservations will be dumped soon.

They’re entirely unnecessary…they’re never “booked”…they’re playing a psychological game here: trying to maintain that the demand is high and that they can engineer their labor down to the penny with cheap tricks like this.

It wont hold. They fired their shot and missed

Thank you it’s gonna be a tough decision. I’m just worried about the cost of flights and hotel stays. I mean it’s nice to know that we won’t have to buy tickets when we go but at the same time like you said $5000 to buy a really nice vacation somewhere else… Once again thank you and have a magical day
Just keep this in mind…(I’m also in the Taylor ham/pork roll state)…I don’t know where in NJ you are, but Allegiant will be flying out of AC starting in December…I just flew with them to Des Moines on Friday…they were EXCELLENT, start to finish (even with my special handicapped needs) My first time with them out of Newark…on time, actually got there 30 minutes early and the flight staff were phenomenal! The ONLY downside is they don’t fly to Orlando international, they fly to Orlando/Sanford…but intro flights right now are 39.00 each way…
We’ve had AP’s in past years and they worked for our family…look into purchasing them from Sam’s Club ( they were cheaper thru SC), but YMMV
Good luck!

Frontier flies out of Trenton…
And yes, Spirit is definitely circling the drain, which is a shame because they were adequate and decent back in the day (and have great looking planes), but just like Disney, nickel and diming for EVERYTHING, and abysmal customer service…and in many cases, their passengers reflected that…

Yeah I have buddy who lives 10 minutes from the gate. He’s a AP holder as well.. when I was there in June he was talking about how much BS those reservations are… 🤦🏻‍♂️

For the non Florida AP crowd does Disney block out obvious/predictable dates throughout the year like the Florida resident AP’s $450 ish per person?
There’s two types available

The one he’s quoting is no blackouts

The second tier is only dvc and Florida residents and that one has thanksgiving and the Christmas-new years period black out.

So the ONLY one available for out of state without Disneys timeshare is the “top tier”

It’s embarrassing, really…if someone is willing to visit you frequently and spend…let them. Who cares if it’s in “off season”?

I know a lot of factors go into a decision to relocate, but IMO if someone lives in NJ and wants to visit WDW bimonthly they need to just move closer to it. The travel costs alone don't make sense if you're consistently going that often.

To answer your question, around ~9 days or so is about correct. A park ticket is roughly ~$150-170 and the Incredipass costs about $1,500. Factoring in the (usually not that substantial, but helpful) discounts you get with AP on dining/merch I would say that if you're consistently going 9 days a year it makes sense. On the other hand, if it's going to encourage you to go "too often" and blow your budget, that's something to be mindful of.

I’m not sure why this is tricky - if you are going to visit WDW for 2 or more multi day vacations within a year - an AP is worth it.

If you’re just going to visit once. It’s not.
