Out of state annual pass holders

This needs to be treated as a completely non emotional math problem. How many times are you planning on going and what is the cost per day of your ticket doing each admission pathway. If the AP is cheaper, get it, if not don’t. Also if you do get it do not delude yourself into thinking booking more trips will save you money, it’s simply spending more money slightly more efficiently.

I live in WI, I’m currently a DLR Magic Key Holder and I rotate between WDW, Universal Orlando, and DL. I purchase my AP for the year in late October. On that AP I will go in late October, early December, late January/early February, May/June and early October. I’m blessed with lots of days off so I know I’m not normal, but APs are still cost effective for me.
If it wasn’t emotional…then nobody would go there

One thing to remember - the AP does include park hopping. If you usually buy a park hopper that can change the math too.
I’d say eliminating that ridiculous fee (not that you don’t pay for it) from the regular tickets is the key benefit.

If you have an AP…you don’t need to pound parks a day at a time…so park hopping helps blunt the awful weather and relaxes you some.

I don’t even know the last time I did a “full day”…but it was probably like 25 years ago 😂

Yes .. I will also take that into consideration .. after 2pm correct.. thank you.

Still need park reservations for any day before 2pm, but after 2pm you don't. (except where listed below)
  • Park Hopper Benefit:
Once the passholder has entered the park for which they have a reservation, they can then utilize the Park Hopper benefit to visit other parks.
    BUUUT

    Magic Kingdom on Weekends:
While park hopping is generally available at any time, there is an exception for Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays. Passholders need a reservation to enter Magic Kingdom as their first park on those days, even after 2:00 PM.

I would imagine the reservations will be dumped soon.

They’re entirely unnecessary…they’re never “booked”…they’re playing a psychological game here: trying to maintain that the demand is high and that they can engineer their labor down to the penny with cheap tricks like this.

It wont hold. They fired their shot and missed

Thank you it’s gonna be a tough decision. I’m just worried about the cost of flights and hotel stays. I mean it’s nice to know that we won’t have to buy tickets when we go but at the same time like you said $5000 to buy a really nice vacation somewhere else… Once again thank you and have a magical day
Just keep this in mind…(I’m also in the Taylor ham/pork roll state)…I don’t know where in NJ you are, but Allegiant will be flying out of AC starting in December…I just flew with them to Des Moines on Friday…they were EXCELLENT, start to finish (even with my special handicapped needs) My first time with them out of Newark…on time, actually got there 30 minutes early and the flight staff were phenomenal! The ONLY downside is they don’t fly to Orlando international, they fly to Orlando/Sanford…but intro flights right now are 39.00 each way…
We’ve had AP’s in past years and they worked for our family…look into purchasing them from Sam’s Club ( they were cheaper thru SC), but YMMV
Good luck!

Allegiant flys out of Trenton too…

Looks like spirit WON’T be flying out of AC for much longer

Frontier flies out of Trenton…
And yes, Spirit is definitely circling the drain, which is a shame because they were adequate and decent back in the day (and have great looking planes), but just like Disney, nickel and diming for EVERYTHING, and abysmal customer service…and in many cases, their passengers reflected that…

I live in Jersey. It’s basically also considered the Pork roll state… My wife and kid love them, but I’m not a fan… Anyway, I’m in Williamstown New Jersey South Jersey. We always fly out of the Atlantic City airport but now since spirit is stopping and the new airline coming in they only fly out on Tuesdays and Fridays, which sucks because I love the Atlantic City airport, but Tuesdays and Fridays will not work for us so it looks like I’ll have to be flying out of Philly which also sucks. Thank you for all the information. Have a magical day.

I think that’ll change, IF the demand is there…Spirit flew out of AC daily so it might change for Allegiant…
Toms River for me, so it’s equidistant to ACY or EWR but AC is a pleasure compared to EWR or PHL
