Maybe expand animation instead of video games?I would lean against Video Games, even though I love them. They don't have the power that they have now. It was still a growing medium.

That would be my preference if we go in this direction. Lord knows that section needed it long before it was overtaken by the Launch Bay.Maybe expand animation instead of video games?

Yes I would expand in Animation along with bigger push to Animate Films there. Cause some of my Two of my favorite films were Produces in Orlando and 1 was completed there.Maybe expand animation instead of video games?
So would we ditch the trams if we do this plan?
Yeah, Backlot section and NY Street (what became streets of America) would both still exist more or less the same and the trams wouldn't have to be changed.I think they could still go in the Backlot section if we still wanted to go that way.
I was with you until the video games. Not sure how that ties in with the Hollywood theme? I kind of understand about the storytelling, but I'm still not sure it would fit.![]()

And Mulan! What!!! Apparently part of Lion King was Animated in MGM! EEK!!
Expanded animation could be great! We could also use that as the bridge to Sunset rather than doing a music StudioYes I would expand in Animation along with bigger push to Animate Films there. Cause some of my Two of my favorite films were Produces in Orlando and 1 was completed there.
I completely forgot about Mulan! And Mulan!
All of Mulan and Lion and Stitch were done in Orlando. (Along with Brother Bear)And Mulan!
The Muppets? Nobody likes those guysMuppets Studio - tiny land around Muppet Vision
I love the idea, don't get me wrong. The late 90s are just a bad time. E3 didn't really become E3 until the earlier 2000s.Yeah, Backlot section and NY Street (what became streets of America) would both still exist more or less the same and the trams wouldn't have to be changed.
I guess video games being set up as a way to broaden the scope of the Studios park has always been a pet project of mine. Focusing on the studios part of the theme (that it would fit in) rather than the Hollywood part.
But I'm ok cutting that if I'm the only one who likes it. I'll admit it is a bit of a stretch fit
Muppets Studio? Where guest walk onto an active set controlled by the muppets. The Muppets? Nobody likes those guys![]()
I wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer to make it official until @TheOriginalTiki and @pixie_princess and @kmbmw777 and @D Hindley log on. Or at least wait till a bit later afternoon to give them a chanceI'm to assume you're going the MGM route?![]()

I agree, that's a lot of names left without an opinion either way.I wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer to make it official until @TheOriginalTiki and @pixie_princess and @kmbmw777 and @D Hindley log on. Or at least wait till a bit later afternoon to give them a chance
This sounds like an interesting concept, and personally love the idea of a full Hollywood That Never Was. (I wish they would've done more with this theme to be honest). So we're brainstorming in public now?!But @S.P.E.W can see us!
I'm on the MGM train. From last night's brainstorming, I liked the potential of going fully 100% on the "Hollywood that never was and always will be" concept - doing a romanticized version of Hollywood spanning from the 20's to the 60's (roughly). This is an IP-light idea, more focused on lost Golden Age Hollywood stuff like Jazz clubs, speakeasies, the Red Car, seedy noir back alleys, tabloids, glitzy premiers, and lively studios where (in Roger Rabbit fashion) filmed fantasies come to life. Bring in larger L.A.-area myth, do a Hollywood Hills area complete with celebrity mansions and Griffith Observatory, incorporate tributes to silent film comedy, 1940s musicals, the micro-budget nonsense of scroungers like Ed Wood, drive-in theaters, Muppets (@AceAstro), etc.
Basically, the theme is Hollywood rather than specific movies, like an extension of MGM/DHS's entry area.

Of course this idea to divide by genres makes sense. It's like a more organized version of current Uni parks. I just find that approach becomes an excuse for us to just choose our pet IPs, and it could very quickly become disorganized if we're not careful.
I think we could integrate well into it. I think Tower of Terror is a great representation of what you can do with Hollywood that never was. This sounds like an interesting concept, and personally love the idea of a full Hollywood That Never Was. (I wish they would've done more with this theme to be honest).
My biggest concern is interest levels? Is this something that will interest the whole family? Will kids, teens, and adults all find something here to enjoy? Do we even want to cater to the whole family?
