At this point, if I get the tickets, great. But I will not prioritize buying OBB tickets over enjoying the trip I'm currently on, and if I end up shut out, I'm sure I can find another way to spend ~$160.

Very glad this second time around was much smoother for me. Joined the queue a minute before 9 (then waited a couple more minutes since the queue didn't open right at 9), waited around 30 minutes to buy tickets, and done! About as lucky as last year in terms of waiting.

DL has a bonafide hit with OBB, but it's frustrating how much of a mess it is to buy tickets for it. Then again, I honestly don't know what else they could do to expand availability without it negatively impacting the park experience in some way.

It looks like some availability cropped up here and there for folks who are still in the queue, but it was few and far between.

Regardless, they've officially closed the queue just now.

Did it sell out in a day last year too? I thought it sold out after a couple days.

Nothing for me.

Granted, I probably screwed up too. I was travelling in areas without internet/service and bequeathed the responsibility to a family member and basically assumed that that person would eventually get to buy a ticket-which didn't happen. Then when I was at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, all of a sudden my phone started vibrating like crazy, but no notifications showed up, so I just thought my phone was randomly freaking out. In retrospect, that may have been my time to buy.

Ah well. Just means I can give more money to Scary Farm and HHN. And maybe I can still catch Monsters After Dark after 3 before the party starts?

I'm sorry. ☹️ I'd still place the blame on Disney's esoteric system.

On the upside, you can catch Monsters After Dark on any non-party days from 3 to close during Halloweentime as that overlay isn't exclusive to the party. With that in mind, you're definitely better off going on a day the party's dark (M/W/F/Sat).

Guess this event isn't priced high enough if they are selling out this fast. They should do demand based pricing like Ticketmaster to maximize profit.

I can't believe this thing sold out so fast. Many years ago, I got tickets for the Walt Disney World party two days beforehand, and that was when tickets were well below $100. Does anyone know if they ever release new blocks of tickets closer to the event, or is it just a hard total sell out?

Unfortunately, I think they're gone.

*glares at local who bought five tickets for themselves while I, a vacationer, got none.*

I've been watching this ticket sale saga go down as a bystander and it's embarassing for Disney and frustrating for guests how badly this turned out. I want to go to Oogie Boogie Bash someday but as a vacationer if I didn't get tickets I would probably cancel the trip. There has got to be a better way to handle ticket sales.
