Universal’s first in-park hotel lets guests stay overnight in Islands of Adventure’s Superhero Island, in the famous X Mansion where Professor X secretly trains and deploys the X-Men, introducing guests to a secret world of Mutants (and carefully keeping Disney from using Marvel in Florida).

Hotel grounds resemble forested Upstate New York surrounding a stately brownstone estate, whose interiors include a Cerebro check-in, a Danger Room exercise facility, communal dining halls, and props dedicated to the various X-Men.

Every room is themed to a different Mutant - see frozen pipes in Ice Man’s room, claw slashes in Wolverines, lightning scars in Storm’s, et cetera, and even study with Mutant professors to discover your own Mutant power in an up-charge activity utilizing RFID-activated effects.

BONUS - Sunnyside Day Care
Enjoy life under the warm, protecting, never-strict arm of Lotso Huggin’ Bear in this oversized preschool whose rooms in no way resemble prison cells for toys.

Amity Island Resort

location3.jpg

Paying tribute to the classic Universal film, Jaws, that helped create the tradition of summer blockbusters as well as inspired the iconic defunct attraction that helped launch Universal Studios Florida, the Amity Island Resort will be a wonderful new preffered resort themed to the New England beach resort town seen in the film.

The hotel will be built encircling a false lake with a sandy shore meant to resemble an actual beach complete with salt water in the lake allowing guests to enjoy beach front activities during their stay such as building sand castles, swimming, sunbathing, definitely not getting eaten by sharks, volleyball, and more including nightly (weekly on the off season) outdoor showings of movies from the Jaws franchise projected onto the side of the lobby building so guests can watch it while floating in the lake and not being eaten by sharks.

The resort will be done in a way that it can stand on it's own as a classic New England beach front inspired resort for people unaware of or not caring about Jaws allowing it to work as both an immersive themed environment and as a high class resort.

BONUS

The X-Mansion Experience based on the comic book version of the X-Men franchise will allow guests to X-perience life at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters even if just for a night coming soon to Disneyland Resort after the Fox deal is fully settled.

Jurassic World Resort
With the wildly successful Jurassic World franchise coming to the Universal theme parks, it's only natural that a brand new resort would accompany it - welcome to the Jurassic World Resort, priced for families and located outside the Islands of Adventure theme park, with its very own entrance leading into the Jurassic Park area! Take a look at this InGen press release for more information:

"Who wouldn't want to stay right next to the action? With a sleek, sloped design utilizing both wood and shining metal, the Jurassic World Resort is stunning to behold, from the colorful rooms decorated with fossils and facts, to the lobby and its massive T-Rex skeleton, to a souvenir shop where little archaeologists can build their own hybrid dinosaur toys, which all come together to make a hotel that is not to be missed!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looming over Disney's Hollywood Studios, Stark Tower is an expensive but unforgettable experience - enjoy amenities from a massive swimming pool to a huge gym to a secret lab where Iron Man's equipment can be interacted with.

Challenge 9:
Universal’s Europa Resort
europa-park-hotel-resort-620x350.jpg

Using part of the parking lot behind "Universal Studios Florida" and "Islands of Adventure", a new highly immersive resort recreating the streets of famous locations throughout Europe while encompassing the wonders and beauty of the continent will open, introducing a new design to Universal's resorts with a CityWalk-like shopping and entertainment district on the ground level and premier and preferred hotel rooms located above as well hosting a new transportation system connecting City Walk to this massive resort.

Universal's new hotel will host 3 leveled resort hotel rooms, including premier rooms which have a view of Universal's theme parks as well as having access to Universal Express Unlimited Pass and also being located in the marketplace, preferred rooms which are located in the marketplace as well as giving access to access to Universal Express Pass but without a theme park view, and prime value rooms which include no benefits except being a short walk away from the marketplace.

This hotel recreates the most glamorous places of Europe, featuring recreations of the bavarian villages of Germany, the piazzas of Italy, the parsian architecture of France, the islands of Greece, the alps of Switzerland, the city streets of London and the fjords of Scandinavia, featuring something for everyone who would like to stay at this wonderful hotel.

Bonus: A new hotel will open on a new plot of land on the Epcot monorail line themed to Metroville from “The Incredibles”, recreating one of the streets of the city with various restaurants and shops on the ground level, and resort hotel rooms above, and with romantic atmosphere as well as Incredibles theming, this moderate resort because a must do for both families and couples.

Sonic's Green Hill Zone Resort
green_hill_zone_by_wilustra-d8w65du.jpg

Spinballing into Universal Resort Orlando is Sonic's Green Hill Zone Resort, obviously based on Sonic the Hedgehog, bringing to life the palm trees, looping hills, and colourful sights and sounds of the 1991 video game's opening zone to life, based entirely around a large oasis (i.e. a giant swimming pool), with the hotel having two major restaurants, gyms, huge Sega arcades, etc..

The hotel is thematically split in two, both sides having six floors each; Sonic's side is more naturalistic and beachy, with huge palm trees, the Green Hill Zone's unique loops and hills making up the buildings, with numerous hotel rooms designed after Sonic and friends, so Sonic's rooms are rather laidback and beachy, Tails' have a sky theme and resemble a workshop or a plane hangar, Knuckles the Echidna's have a jungle, tribal, Aztec design, Amy Rose's are more urban and homely with an emphasis on the colour pink and her devotion to Sonic, Big the Cat's rooms are simplistic in design and made from the forest (lots of wood), and Shadow the Hedgehog's is both futuristic and militaristic at the same time.

The other hand of the resort was designed by Dr. Robotnik, who is an evil genius, but also has a flair for design, using sleek metallic colours of silver, grey, red, black, and yellow, with each room mostly dedicated to his own brilliance, but also his many robotic creations.

Bonus - The Muppets' Happiness Hotel - While perhaps not as rundown as its movie counterpart, the Muppets' Happiness Hotel is small and cozy, and sporting the classic brand of Muppet humour, like a crashed motorbike hanging out of the ceiling, the kitchen is run by rats, Miss Piggy has the best suite in the hotel (of course), and there are nightly performances from the Electric Mayhem.

Universal's Waturi Bay Resort (Prime Value)
norm_UVB_01_646x354_31308_tcm37-65042.jpg

Coming to Universal Orlando in 2020, alongside Dockside Inn, will be a new prime value hotel next to Volcano Bay, called Universal's Waturi Bay Resort.

The new resort will continue the story of the Waturi exploring the seas, and they end up at a small beachside inn, which they then claim as their own; the hotel is directly next to Volcano Bay, with walking access to the park; you will also get the usual perks of staying at a hotel, plus TapuTapu, so you don't have to wait to get it when you reach the entrance.

The 1,920 room resort will feature a luau show, poolside tiki bar, a highly themed restaurant called Lava Rocks, and more; the hotel will also offer two pools, one set for little kids, and another set for the big boys and girls; the last big thing is, they both include waterslides!!

Bonus:
In Walt Disney World, Disney's Asian Resort will be brought back up to the drawing board, but this time, construction will begin; it'll be located in the space between the Contemporary and the Transportation and Ticket Center, with monorail access.

Bates Motel
bates-motel-01-165905369.jpg

Coming soon, right off of Universal Boulevard, is a cheap hotel themed to Psycho, with almost all of the 100 rooms being under $200. However, if you're willing to spend more, you can spend the night in the Bates House Guest Room, but any of the other guests can walk into the house for the counter-service restaurant inside. Just watch out in the shower, because the tiles pull back to reveal a silhouette oh Norman Bates!

Bonus: Just bring back the Mickey-Shaped hotel that Eisner once pitched and put it near Holywood Studios, more details here.

I just edited mine to be something different, so if anyone wants to do Hogwarts, go ahead!

Hotel Transylvania

After difficulty in rebooting Universal's Monsters shared universe, Universal decided to go with a more successful -- and family friendly -- shot at this public domain franchise with licensing Hotel Transylvania from Sony for their theme parks.

This new resort is an over-the-top themed deluxe that takes the decor of The Haunted Mansion in a cartoony fun direction and is located near the new gate that promises to have similarly highly-themed lands, such as Nintendoland.

Throughout the day, kids will see the silly monsters check-in and out and may even pose for pictures.
