Wow, already Propmt 7?! It feels like yesterday I came in late, time goes by fast.In just a few hours we will begin reviews, results, and the start of Prompt 7!
This was a fun one to start out with! Home Alone and Home Alone 2 are some of my favorite holiday films - and I think you did a good job placing it near the Christmas store in DHS, and replacing a so-so restaurant in Mama Melrose. That being said I wonder exactly how it would work with people breaking in - would it be a stage show or would flamethrowers be utilized around the guests - that just seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen hahaDinner at the McAllisters
Replacing Mama Melrose's in Hollywood Studios is an all new restaurant/show experience themed to Home Alone, where your party goes to eat at the McAllister residence. However, burglars are breaking into the house while you are eating. Thankfully, Kevin has set up traps throughout the house, so you get to see them in action against the burglars, to paint cans to flamethrowers to ornaments, there is something for everybody.
Bonus: It turns out that what's replacing T2:3D is a show called The Crescendolls - LIVE, a show based on the movie Interstella 5555, the show will have holograms of the band performing 4 of their songs; "One More Time" will always play at the start, and 3 are randomized.
Nice idea replacing Starlight cafe - I think overall while a more niche IP audience, this would definitely be a change of pace, and would be something to see as a transition from Tomorrowland into Fantasyland.Digital World Diner
Replacing cosmic ray's starlight cafe, this immersive dining experience will take guests in the digital world from digimon. Guests will enjoy a Japanese style experience with foods themed to different characters from the movie, similar to what's offered at kirby cafe and the sonic anniversary cafe. To compensate for the loss of sonny eclipse, there will be animatronic digimon that will greet the guests with the digidestined.
BONUS: Universal, fearing the loss of the ultimate IP: spongebob, will replace terminator with spongebob's nicktoon blast, a spiritual successor to the ultimate ride, Jimmy neutron's nicktoon blast.
This was really inventive! I like the location of the UK pavilion as really while the Pub is great it could use another dining experience that sets the pavilion apart from fish and chips/beer. The backstory and genre based dining experience would be a very unique way to experience your meal. While the film is set in the US, you seem to be focused on the literature aspect, something I wish the pavilion focused on more, as it is.The Pagemaster Library Luncheon
Within the UK Pavilion in Epcot, is The Pagemaster Library Luncheon, based on the 1994 Fox/Turner film, set within a grand British library, the entrance decorated by lion statues, and has a domed roof. There are four themed dining halls, the central rotunda where a beautiful painting of the titular Pagemaster is, and three separate, immerseive wings, set within the Horror, Adventure, and Fantasy sections of the library. Here, the worlds of literature bleed into reality, taking guests into various mixed worlds of various stories, with set menus to match - the Horror section resembles a spooky graveyard-turned-dungeon, the Adventure section is set within a pirate village that uses special effects and forced perspective to create illusion of being by the sea, and the Fantasy section is set in a fairy forest, plagued by a gigantic, animatronic dragon.
(Note: I am aware that The Pagemaster is set in America, but I thought it would fit in well in the UK pavilion, since the film is celebrating a mostly British literature).
Bonus - Replacing the recently departed Terminator attraction is "Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars", an on-ride shooter in which guests join the crew of the Righteous Indignation, led by Bucky himself, on their ongoing war against the evil Toad Empire!
CHALLENGE 6
20th CENTURY FOX
-Background Information-
Disney is in the process to acquire assets from 21st Century Fox, such as the rights that Fox has over the OG Star Wars Trilogy, the rest of the Marvel Characters, and plenty of other franchises such as Avatar, Alien, War of the Planet of the Apes, and more.
-Challenge-In this, the challenge, you’ll be tasked to create a highly immersive dinning experience for any of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, it can be based on any of the Intellectual Properties within the Fox repertoire, however, it can't be based around Avatar as that would be too easy. Also, you must specify where it will be going, and you can dream as big as you want, it could be on an even bigger scale than the space restaurant or the Star Wars cantina.
-Bonus-As a Bonus, design a themed experience for Universal that is themed around an Intellectual Property that they currently don't own.
-Rules-You may use between 1 and 3 sentences and up to 1 image/1 video. For the bonus you may use 1 sentence. The deadline is Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:59 PM EST. Critiques will come shortly after, with Challenge 7 being posted at Thursday, July 19th, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST.
-Tips-
K.I.S.S. – Keep it simple, silly. Try not to complicate or overthink things too much. It’s a simple, casual competition – there are no eliminations. Propose as you please!
-Judging Criteria-
Is it creative?
Does it accomplishes everything within the challenge guidelines?
Is it realistic?
-Reminders-
This prompt will be a points prompt. As a reminder, everyone who submits something as well as follows the rules will get 1 point. 3 awards are given for each challenge. The three awards are Bronze (+1 points), Silver (+2 points), and Gold (+3 points). Additionally, everyone who answers the Bonus receives an extra point.
At Paddy's Pub you're guaranteed to catch a ....virus.
PADDY'S PUB
THE OLDEST PUB IN LIBERTY SQUARE
We have a variety of all liquors served in strange containers. We are packed with celebrities...the fun ones. And guess what, we don't have a sign, so good luck finding the place, but if you do you'll be lucky, 'cause we also got donkey shows, Motley Crue, and cake.
-BONUS-
At The Tommy Wiseau Experience, Universal's guests become the beleaguered cast and crew on the legendary film set of The Room, where they help to make cinematic magic occur daily.
I like the idea on paper and someone who enjoys Alien a lot I think this would be pretty fun - I question the placement in MK since Alien Encounter already didn't work out, and I can't see Disney going down the same road twice. I could however see something like this, maybe, in DHS, especially since the Great Movie Ride already included a scene from Alien. I just can't see something based on an R-Rated property in the Magic Kingdom these days - with a location swap though - this is a great idea!Alien - An ExtraTERRORestrial Dining Experience
View attachment 296281
Replacing the area of Stitch's Great Escape is a revival of the ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, but with a twist. Instead of an attraction replacing this area, the area will be replaced with a dining experience.
The areas with the pre-show, animatronic viewing, and ride experience will be opened up, with walls torn down, to represent this spooky sit-down restaurant; this restaurant will be the first sit-down restaurant in Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland, and will feature food themed to the 1979 R-rated movie, Alien.
Not only will you be able to dine in an immersive area, there will also be usage of the middle tube, where a Xenomorph will be held, and will occasionally pop out and growl to start a show, a nod to the attraction that once resided there; screens, animatronics, and cast members will come together to give guests a the thrilling experience.
Bonus:
After a contract between Warner Bros. and Universal, OASIS, a VR experience based on the movie, Ready Player One, will open, taking guests into the land of... well, OASIS.
Like the photoshop! This would be really cool - I'd be on board with this. Adds some life to a mostly dead area of the park, and blends in with LA, and adds some great ambiance as well throughout the dining experience.A Night at the Museum Restaurant
Would you like a softly-lit romantic meal of mammoth steaks with sides of cleverly updated basic human staples served by Teddy Roosevelt or an Indigenous Person from a bygone era?
Then come on down to the Museum Restaurant located in the old Launch Bay where the Animation Courtyard is reconfigured for modern L.A. look with a proper frontage of L.A. theaters and the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History.
The museum decor consists of hanging Pteradactyls, dinosaur skeletons, oversized dragon flies, giant dioramas, and all sorts of occasionally moving taxidermied fauna of the past -- and maybe a few Easter eggs from the Ice Age©.

Note: I relinquish my hold on The Martian fecal potatoes if anyone wants it!
Barrel Rapids
As part of a huge Tolkien Land in their new theme park "gate", guests travel down a raging rapids ride in a raft that looks like barrels lashed together reminiscent of the ones the dwarves used to escape their elven captors in Mirkwood, all the while menaced by spiders and orcs from above.
This is the story of the immersive dining experience that was rather small scale, and the one imagineer who had no choice, but to put it all together, this is...
Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand
Based on the early seasons of the cult classic Fox show, Arrested Development, the Bluth family has somehow convinced Disney to allow them to build a second location of their famous frozen Banana Stand at Disney Springs where the food trucks are now.
Besides the banana stand itself and it's deliscious frozen treats, in the courtyard where the food trucks used to reside will be a picnic style outdoor seating area and the famous Bluth company stair car as well as numerous references to the show immersing guests in the idea that the Bluths truly have set up this shop (such as blue hand prints on the tables from Tobias; flyers and ads for the DVD box set of Caged Wisdom, Bob Loblaw's Law Blog, and a Fire Sale at the local department; hot ham water and cornballs both placed on the menu but crossed off for obvious reasons; a handwritten banner that says "family love banana stand"; and so many more references to the show full of so many inside jokes bringing the Bluth family's story to life).
Bonus
Tod Chavez and Princess Caroline invite guests to tour the Boreanez house at Universal Studios Florida, a house that definitely belongs to David Boreanez (star of... I wanna say... Castle?) and definitely not Bojack Horseman (the BH on the monogrammed towels stand for Boreanez House obviously).
Allow me to give fitting music,6 more minutes - I'll just be waiting here
Allow me to give fitting music,
A neat concept with the musical aspect to it - something that I think is underrated in DHS - that being said I do question the location between Indy and Star Tours, just feels like an odd place to have the Walt Disney Theatre. To me this would make more sense somewhere on Sunset, or near Fantasmic - to bring guests over in that direction of the park rather than force them in 2020 to be on the south side where Galaxy's Edge is opening and flooded already. I do like this concept though and I think it goes well with the themed dining elements of DHS, in character, especially thinking of the 50s Prime Time and things like that.A new restaurant will open in 2020 at Disney's Hollywood Studios, replacing the Backlot Express, themed to the classic movie musicals of Hollywood, where you can dine in various locations such as the palace seen in The King and I, the mystical island of Bali Hai from South Pacific, outside by the gazebo in the mountains as seen in The Sound of Music and the farm country from Oklahoma!
As you enter the "Walt Disney Theatre" stage door, you reach the check in room where your hostess will lead you into one of four theatres for you to dine in, each immersing you in a different movie with a fully fledge room to make you feel like your in the movie, as well as instrumental versions of the classical songs and more.
The waiters and waitress in each room will be dressed as characters from that time period and setting of the show they are representing, as well as acting out improv scenes using elements of the shows while incorporating new ideas, as to not recap the show, which will keep each dining experience immersive and fresh as well as making this a must do for each visit.
Bonus: A new Ghostbusters VR experience will open in City Walk in a brand new building between Blue Man Group and the Hard Rock Cafe.
