Replacing Hogsmeade Toon Lagoon, Bergen Town is a highly themed world dedicated to Dreamwork's 2016 hit film Trolls. Riptide Falls is rethemed to a narrative dark ride following Princess Poppy's journey to rescue her friends from the unhappy Bergens. Meanwhile, Popeye's river barges are gutted to make room for several new flats, a play area, sit-down restaurant themed to the Bergen's Trollstice, and (covering the former track) a kid's train ride.

Bonus: Inside Out interactive simulator at FutureWorld, with five people per vehicle and each serve as an "emotion" going through Riley's day- the team must work together to choose the right emotion for the right "challenge" and earn points against the three other simulators.

Jungle of the Croods

Coming soon to Islands of Adventure is a land themed to the box office success, The Croods; set in the tropical forest of Crong, you are transported into a world that mashes the cavemen time, with the tropical forsets.

The land boasts 3 new attractions; the first is a classic spinning chairs attraction, Wonk's Whirligig; the second is a show, The Croodiest Tour Ever, which has the Croods taking you on an adventure through Crong; the third and final attraction is a roller coaster called Get Out - Surviving the Earthquake, a stand-up roller coaster which puts you at the edge of a tumbling rock earthquake, where you have to try and escape it; you do escape it, and the last bit of it is you twisting and turning through the jungle.

This land mixes both kiddie rides and bigger rides, which can be a good combination; there is also one restaurant, and one quick-service restaurant, with multiple shops standing throughout the land; if you would like, you can even purchase your very own sloth that attaches to you, and says cute little phrases!

Bonus:
Replacing Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is The Timekeeper and the Incredibles, a spiritual successor to The Timekeeper, in which the show is almost the same, except the Incredibles are infused in it to save the day through different time periods.

Coming soon, replacing the Lost Continent area, is an all new area themed to Bee Movie, this new land will have 2 E-Tickets, a flower shop, and a table service restaurant named Barry's Delight. One of the E-Tickets is the Honex Factory Tour, a boat ride showing you how honey is made, based on the scene a few minutes into the film. The other E-Ticket is Outside the Hive, a motion simulator similar to Flight of Passage, the ride will have you taking the role of a Pollen Jock, and you soar through Central Park and collecting pollen, watch out for rain!

Bonus: Replacing the former area of Pixar Place in Hollywood Studios is A Short Adventure, a trackless dark ride where you go through several of Pixar's shorts.
So I'm one of the few (maybe?) that actually enjoyed this movie and not just for the memes. We watched it in Biology in High School after exams haha - I do think it has the capacity for an E-Ticket like Flight of Passage actually - this is in a sense Toy Story Land mixed with Pandora for size and scale as I'm reading it - nice work!

Far Far Away
hqdefault.jpg

Replacing toon lagoon, Far Far Away will feature Dreamwork's breakout star, and everyone's favorite meme, shrek. Ripsaw Falls will be replaced by Fairytale Falls, where guests voyage in boats trying to catch Puss in boots, it will feature a unique rival system where boats are on opposite sides representing a rivalry between Jack and Jill, two convicts that want revenge towards Puss. Bilge Rat Barges is replaced by Prison escape, where guests help shrek and friends by escaping on the back of Dragon, this ride will be a spiritual successor to the popular Dueling Dragons, finally bringing back the famous dueling feature, but with more precautions.
BONUS: Rock n Rollercoaster gets replaced by Jack Jack attack, instead of chasing Jack Jack, you are Jack Jack; Enjoy this amazing plot twist.
I'm a big fan of Shrek - I do think a land like Far Far Away would be something. It seemed to focus on the side characters, especially taking Shrek out of his swamp which I thought would be something fun to see, a mud boat ride or something like that. Being said, it's a solid entry.

Baby Corporation
View attachment 297190

Replacing The Lost Continent is...Baby Corporation where you learn the life of a baby which includes a photo on Boss Baby's CEO desk, drink the magical potion that keeps you the baby in the family, ;) and much more!
The major E-Ticket attraction is Mission: Defeat Puppy Co. which take guests on a wild adventure through the headquarters and into the evil Puppy Co and try to find the file that will destroy babies forever!!!!!
The second attraction takes you on a Pirates of the Caribbean style ride that shows if you are going into a home or the business by taking "tests" while on the ride and finding your true baby form.

Bonus: Take out everything in Stitch's Great Escape and replace it with an indoor omnimover Wall-E ride.
Someone actually did Boss Baby! Props for the effort to try and finagle this, something I definitely was not expecting to see be attempted. Replacing The Lost Continent is also a decent area to remove (nothing of inherent value and it's more of a filler land anyway), my one question is when you say Pirates of the Caribbean style, is that a boat ride? Because from the sound of it - it seems like an attraction that could be accomplished in a similar form to the quiz at the end of Spaceship Earth. Nice submission!

For a movie that has literally become a Meme on the internet (I actually liked the movie, and I can tell you it used to be my little brother's favorite movie for some time), this sounds amazing, one of the things that I liked the most is that this land would include some edutainment, which I consider is definitely underused nowadays, and has sadly been stigmatized as something that doesn't work on Theme Parks, personally, I would say that the most impressive rides, are those that manage to teach you something while also entertain you! Additionally, the FoP simulator is great, I'm sure it would be great, and surely have long lines! With this land, I dare say you make this movie be reconsidered into a different light!

Bonus: That ride would be a work of genius, the La Luna segment would be outstanding! And I would love to see some Partly Cloud representation, that's definitely my favorite one! +1

Kung Fu Panda Valley
Kung+Fu+Panda+2+Wallpaper+038.jpg

Replacing Toon Lagoon, Kung Fu Panda Valley is an immersive realm of martial arts, spiritualism, mythology, and noodles, set within the Valley of Peace, with the mountainous Jade Palace looking over the land. The land is split in two, between Po's Village and the Jade Palace's grounds, attractions in the former include Po's Kung Fu Training stunt show in the land's amphitheatre, and the teacups-esque Mr. Ping's Noodle Whirl (complete with an actual noodle shop). The major e-tickets are a rethemed rapids called the Rivers of Awesomeness, where Po and the Furious Five use their kung fu to help guide the guests down the fast rapids, and an indoor coaster set within the Jade Mountain called Trial of the Dragon Warrior (replacing Ripsaw Falls).

Bonus - In Animal Kingdom, Dinosaur is replaced by, well, The Good Dinosaur, an exciting dark ride that uses plenty of animatronics, special effects, and even indoor weather to create the world of Pixar's highly underrated film.
I think this would transition nicely from the more naturalistic settings of Jurassic Park and Skull Island on that side of the park - enabling a more fluid flow. Kung Fu Panda is also a franchise that has proven itself to be a long-running success, and less of a risk when it comes to a potential land. The attractions were realistic as well, nice job.

Shrek is an amazing film, so many memories, I loved all of them, although the third might have been my favorite, as I think it gave everyone some time to shine, and the babies where so cute! The Fairytale Falls sound like a lot of fun, and including Puss in Boots would make it a hit, everyone loves him, and giving it an amazing story would make a great experience. That Dueling Coaster sounds amazing, and like a lot of fun! Great Work!

Bonus: Jack Jack is great, fans would definitely love this, plus merch opportunities, and we all know how much Bob loves that! +1

Valley of Peace

View attachment 297326

In competition with new Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios, Universal has decided to make a new land dedicated to the children that enter Islands of Adventure; The Valley of Peace is a new land which will not only be children-themed, but will be as immersive as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the upcoming Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.

Once entering the Valley of Peace, you'll immediately notice that you literally are in a valley; huge walls will surround you as you walk around the valley, meeting some of your favorite Kung Fu Panda characters as they walk around; the first big E-ticket attraction is a dark ride called Adventure Through the Valley of Darkness, a dark ride that tells its own story separate from the movie franchise; the next attraction is an alpine coaster called Martial Arts Escape!.

The land does only feature two attractions, but they both are headlining; there will be one restaurant called Night with Po, a restaurant themed to having dinner with Po, but everything is messy, and there are fake noodles and other fake food on the walls and ground.

Bonus:
Replacing Stitch's Meet and Greet in Tomorrowland is WALL-E & EVE'S Adventure in Space, an attraction the re-utilizes the technology, but can actually make the seats turn and spin, or go up and down, giving a no-gravity feel.
Another great example for Kung Fu Panda. You described it very well being a competition for TSL and as immersive as SW: GE - both things Uni will be in competition with for the years to come. My one question is where is this located? Is this a new land or is it replacing an existing land? I'm assuming since your said it's when you enter the park that it's towards the Port of Entry (maybe Marvel Island?) That being said the attractions were well done and realistic for a full land - nice job!

Bonus: +1 (Wall-E is a popular one this round!)

Megamind's Metrocity (Meh-traw-si-tee, like Atrocity)

Megamind has reformed his evil ways in the months since defeating Titan, and Metrocity is now a great place to visit, despite the fact that he has yet to fully remove the creations he left behind from a lifetime of evil.

Regardless, don't let those evil relics stop you from coming to experience all that our vibrant city has to offer, including our Secret Lair Brain Bot Breakout (trackless dark ride where you and the other Brain Bots help a lost Minion escape from the Secret Lair's Exit/exciting dungeon), Roxanne Ritchie's Sweep's Week Rollercoaster - help Roxanne film all the excitement around town, and our Rehydration Rodeo, a fun AR arcade/shooter where you compete to rehydrate dehydrated cubes!

Come for the excitement, but stay for Music Man's sing-along, Space Step Mom's Churros Stand, and a meal at Bernard's Bistro!

-Metrocity's Tourism Board

Bonus
You work with Wall-E's robot cousin, Drive-R, to pilot and save the spaceship human's live on through an electromagnetic storm in this motion simulator ride, Drive-R's Day.
gonzo - welcome back to imagineering! So happy to see you back again!

Oh another underrated property - Megamind! This would be pretty fun to see (though like Mickey where would it be located in IoA?) I love the idea for the trackless dark ride of yours as well as the shooter arcade. Some great stuff in here and I also appreciate how you made it in the style of an advertisement

Boss Baby was a surprise hit, and although it's not an instant Dreamworks Classic for me, it's a lot of fun, and could become an interesting franchise in the future! It's definitely surprising to see it replacing The Lost Continent, a creative one definitely, I would have preferred more details about the ride system that M:DPC would be using, for some reason I imagine as a Drop Tower due to Mission Breakout, but I believe you were going for a Trackless Dark Ride? Nevertheless it definitely sounds interesting, and the second attraction would be a lot of fun, and would probably have long lines, as some more quality water rides would serve the park!

Bonus: Wall-E deserves more representation, would love to meet the LCI! And a Tomorrowland attraction would be great, it has so much potential! +1

AARDMAN AACRES

Discover the eccentric world of Aardman Animations at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, where a new themed land replacing Toon Lagoon sends guests to a quaint Yorkshire countryside village where the storefronts, manor estates, farmlands and even the sewers look to be made from plasticine and clay (complete with over-sized human “fingerprints”), with all the style and wit of Aardman found in shops and restaurants like Mrs. Tweedy’s Chicken Pies, the Bake-O-Lite Bakery, Tottingham Cheese Shoppe and Wendoline’s Wools.

Bilge-Rat Barges is rethemed as Roddy & Rita’s Rat Rafts which “flushes away” guests into the sewers of Ratropolis where the rodents have created their own miniature London, Hoffman’s Aggro Circus live show theater rethemes to Rocky’s Royal Rooster Circus, and Me Ship the Olive becomes the new Chicken Run Play Farm playground complete with interactive rooster cannons, chicken-made airplanes and gigantic Rube Goldbergian pie-making machines.

The land’s centerpiece replacing Ripsaw Falls (which moves to Volcano Bay) is a new dueling roller coaster/dark ride hybrid – Wallace & Gromit in “A Jolly Adventure” – where guests ride a motorbike-and-sidecar through the duo’s many famed misadventures (in Universal’s epic variation on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride) until Feathers McGraw and Victor Quartermaine use a gigantic ripsaw to “split” the bike and sidecar apart for an unexpected out-of-control coaster race through Wallace’s warehouse of malfunctioning contraptions.

Beloved fan favorite Heimlich’s Chew Chew Train relocates to Animal Kingdom as Attack of the Chewing Caterpillar!
Oh wow - just amazing! Great descriptions and I truly get a full lay of the land. Replacing Toon Lagoon seems to be another popular choice this round, but you described it well as I love all of the areas designed from clay and plasticine. So much to enjoy about this - didn't even think of Ripsaw moving to VB (#VBB?) it would be expensive but not out of the realm of possibility if it makes room for another coaster. Well done overall!

Bonus: Ah! +1

Dragon Riders of Berk Island

Taking over The Lost Continent, Universal finally picks the low-hanging fruit of How To Train Your Dragon by encircling the land with Scottish-ish highland mountains that rival the spires of Black Spire Outpost or Pandora in perfect complement to ones next door in Potter Land.

With a new Universal gate on the way, Islands of Adventure can now double down on being "the roller coaster park" with several straddling/prone swinging inverted coasters themed to different types of dragons that range from high thrill to family to kiddie all criss-crossing the skies non-stop going around one another and through tunnels in the mountains where *working* enemy dragons lunge with special effects such as fire, frost, electricity with practical and projection mapped tricks.

Besides the usual themed restaurants and shops, the Sinbad stunt show will be taken over by the already existing (but not in Orlando) How To Train Your Dragon Arena Spectacular.

Inside Out with Figment

Replacing the Figment ride in the Imagination Pavilion, the semi-omnimover lets you see through the eyes of a sleepy Riley as your art teacher tries to get you to stop drawing so practically and to use your imagination, at which point, the one and only Figment of imagination pops in on Riley's emotions leading to all sorts of shenanigans... and the revival of a forgotten memory of Bing Bong, at which point Riley wakes up to find she drew a picture of Bing Bong to the glowing approval of the art teacher... who, with a wink, is revealed to be Dreamfinder.
While a low-hanging fruit sometimes those just need to be done justice - and with this you did that in spades!

I think this would be a perfect backdrop for Potter, and making IoA and Uni in general a coaster capital is a smart move. Lots to explore here, and realistic with the spectacular taking over Sinbad. Nice job!

Another bold choice - something unexpected indeed, but I think you do a good job with it! Where it's located, I know I said that for a few of them, but to me that's important in understanding the realism of the pitch. Because picking a land to replace it with or showing where the new expansion would go helps the reader get a sense of the scale of the land. Anyway - I think your 3 attractions are pretty well thought out, and the mix of kiddie and bigger rides would serve the land well to be approachable for all ages.

King Fu

I love Kung Fu Panda, it is a lot of fun, and probably my second or third favorite franchise from Dreamworks, I'm excited to see what they do with it in Beijing, and I'm sure we will be seeing more of it in the future, as it has a lot of potential to not only be a great land, but one that rivals Disney, and getting some noodles by Po's parent would be neat, who doesn't love themed food? A Stunt Show sounds like a pretty good idea in my opinion, I'm sure it would be a people eater! Then the Spinner is a nice detail, it gives balance and realism, sometimes one wants to relax and have fun, rather than only living an adventure. And finally, the two E-tickets sounds impressive, overall, I think you did a really good job with the way you handled the franchise, great work!

Bonus: If The Good Dinosaur was successful, I'm sure this would have happened by now, great work! +1

One of the most cherished films of my childhood - I used to find this film hilarious and it would definitely be a welcome addition for me personally, and from a commercial standpoint it has been pretty successful over the years (though like Toy Story it seems to have reached a snafu with Madagascar 4)

I also think like Toy Story, there are a lot of characters to play with so the land isn't so centrally focused, nice job!
