@DisneyFan18 with “Journey into Imagination with Bing-Bong”
Disneylover152: Inside Out is one of the few properties that is a round peg in a round hole when it comes to Future World, and their are very few movies that you can say that about. And while most people think Inside Out should go in the Wonders of Life Pavilion, I am one of those who think it should go in the Imagination Pavilion, as long as Figment is featured somewhere else. I love how this ride fits in with the theme of Imagination beautifully. It’s a really great idea for someone going through the imagination of a human, and the 1990s refresh of the ride attempted that, but it didn’t work out. Also, great work to have this take place after the movie, and not during the movie like The Seas with Nemo and Friends. Also, this sounds like this would be a great ride for animatronics and practical effects, with some screens of course. Overall, this seems like a perfect fit for Future World. Great creativity and effort! Also, who doesn’t love Bing Bong!

DisneyForever: Using Inside Out in the Imagination Pavilion makes total sense. In my opinion, Bing Bong is sometimes overlooked, so I love how you brought him into the pavilion! In my head I could see Disney using the new 2 ½ D format for Inside Out, because it seems different and seems perfect for a ride about the mind and imagination. There are a lot of details which I enjoy, and it sounds like this is going to be more edutational. I also love how you (kind of) added a gift shop at the end, theming it to Bing Bong tissues and I’m sure other Bing Bong related items. This clearly shows you put a lot of time and effort into this, especially with detailing and the photo. Overall, I could see Disney doing this and just the proposal sounds great and all!

Bonus: An India Pavilion could be cool and is very original. And The Jungle Book seems like a great fit! +1.

Disneylover152: This sounds like a great attraction that fits the theme of Imagination. While it’s based off of a previously existed attraction, this ride does sound original and very creative. I think this sounds like a fun ride to be added on to Future World, and a worthy replacement of the Imagination Pavilion. I also love how you are incoporating “One Little Spark” into this ride. But that being said, a little more detail would be much appreciated, as besides the beginning of the ride, we have no information on the rest of it. Creating a non-Figment and non-IP ride to fit the theme of Imagination is hard, but you did it in a really nice way. Great work!

DisneyForever: I think this could be a great attraction, I just need more detail to imagine it… no pun intended. Anyways, I can totally see Magical Journeys as an attraction, with the guests “flying into the sky” and going into an eye. Some of this imagining makes me wonder if it would use the Soarin’ ride vehicles. The one thing that bugs me is, there is not a whole lot of detail and, without that, I can’t say any more. I will say that I would like to see the song come back, and I wonder if it would be sung by different people.

Bonus: Brazil has been rumored, so good job. I wonder if people would get mixed up with Donald Duck featured in two pavilions (Mexico and Brazil), but maybe he could be the mascot of the World Showcase! +1

@v_k with “Imagination: Choose Your Own Adventure”
Disneylover152: Besides Soarin’, Epcot has no motion simulators. This brings a motion simulator to Epcot, while having an interactive element where you use your own imagination to decide where to go next. This sounds like a perfect fit for Future World, and a really great addition. I’m wondering about what the rest of the pavilion would hold, since Simulators don’t take up a lot of space, but this individual attraction seems really great! I would love to ride! Very futuristic, very Disney, very cool! Great work!

DisneyForever: This sounds absolutely amazing and so futuristic! Those ride vehicles look so cool, and integrating touch screens would be a great second way to use them. 3D is cool, and having different experiences is nice, a little bit Star Tours I wonder? I bet Sparky would be a fun character and a great companion with Figment. I would like a bit more detail, but it is original, and sounds highly exciting. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a Figment cameo with Sparky, because I can imagine them being alike. This also takes away from the cartoon-ish feel of the Imagination Pavilion, which in my head is a good and bad thing. All in all, I think this is a great proposal and something I would love to see come to life.

Bonus: Venezuela sounds interesting, and so does Up! I could already imagine you boarding a ride vehicle like Peter Pan and flying around Venezuela! +1

Disneylover152: This sounds really cool! At first when you asked me about the theme of Imagination and whether you can use these aspects, I was concerned that your proposal might have lacked something, since it seemed like you were second-guessing yourself! I love how its two seperate rides with two separate experiences! It is a true-people eater! And it also combines for the same finale, which seems like it would be very long, large and important. I love the idea of education on one brain and senses and emotions on the other. It really fits the theme of Epcot, and would surely educate riders, even before entering the ride. Great work!

DisneyForever: Oh man, even without detail I can tell this would make for an epic attraction! I’d love to see how it comes together with the finale! It is so cool how you would be able to tell how the parts of the brain interact with the imagination, which is a lot like edutation, which is what EPCOT is all about. I’d love to know more about each dark ride, I wish you would have added some more details. This proposal is truly original, something that definitely hasn’t been thought up before. Overall, I think this is such a cool proposal, and I would love to see this come to life.

Bonus: Russia would be a different experience… and Anastasia would fit there really well, with the history behind the story. (Note from @DisneyForever, I have never seen Anastasia and note from @Disneylover152- I’ve only seen the Broadway musical) +1

Disneylover152: I’m a little scared to have to enter Ford’s mind, it seems like a weird creepy place, lol. This sounds like a great ride bringing some Disney Channel fans more to do in Epcot, in addition to the Phineas and Ferb experience. The story of this ride fits with the theme of Epcot, and going inside the human ride fits the theme of imagination! A little more detail would be appreciated, but if I remember right, you are doing a true one-sentence pitch? Anyway, great attraction!

Bonus: Indiana Jones Adventure, while similar to Dinosaur, would be a welcome addition, especially in a park that lacks attractions. +1.

@Pionmycake with “Journey into Imagination with Bleamfinder and Bligment!”
Disneylover152: It’s not Figment, it’s Bligment! LOL. A trackless ride with Figment, sorry, Bligment, would definitely be welcome. Bligment has a lot to live up to to replace Figment, which they are obviously different. The use of practical effects would be very appreciated, and I love the pop-culture references. Epcot and Hollywood Studios are the only park pop-culture references do belong. This seems like a crossover between the Entertainment Pavilion and the Imagination Pavilion. This seems like a great attraction that I would be interested in riding! Great work!

Bonus: Wow, Bulgaria, defiantly… um… out there, LOL. Never thought Ducktales could fit in Epcot, but it seems like it does. +1.

Note from @Disneylover152: This whole submission made me laugh out loud so much! Thank you for brightening up my day!

Disneylover152: This sounds like such a fun ride, something that seems like a perfect fit for Epcot. You are bringing the past and combining it with the future, into something brilliant. Also, its a ride that doesn’t need to be as updated as other rides. The theme of Imagination really is shown, as this ride educates you about the Imaginations of the past and then you can use your own imagination to decide the finale. Wonderful work that blew me away. I really enjoyed reading this, and if Figment ever gets kicked out, I really hope that this is what they replace it with. Also, this seems like a fun restaurant that fits the theme of Imagination wonderfully and could really give Disney a bang with their buck for the lagoon views and all of the dessert parties! Wonderful Work!

Bonus: Yay Greece, yay Hercules! +1.

Disneylover152: The Muppets are making their way to Epcot, in a bigger way then the Muppet Mobile Lab (which could act as a pre-show or an interactive queue element. This sounds like a really wonderful experience where you get to understand the importance of your imagination. Your imagination is really important, and this ride could teach us that your imagination is important and you need to use it more! Great experience. And I love the Muppets!

Bonus: The Lion King would make such a great land! I could already imagine this in the Imagineering cabinets as well! +1.

Disneylover152: Right before the buzzer! This seems like a great attraction for thrilling adults, and it also seems like a great way to shorten the lines for the bars in World Showcase! As I stated previously, the idea of using your imagination is extremely important and it's not used in the real world anymore, which is such a shame. This ride addresses that while providing the thrillingness of a roller coaster. Also, a modern version of imageworks would be greatly appreciated, and this sounds really fun! And while their are amazing desserts elsewhere in the park, this froyo bar would surely please those who don’t want to eat another Mickey Bar or a French pastry. Great submission!

Bonus: Peru is very original, and a coaster themed around Peru sounds fun! (Note from Disneylover152- and is it bad that I had to look up who Yzma and Kronks were?) +1.

There were an absolute ton of quality proposals, making it really hard trying to select and rank the best.

A great idea alone is worth a lot in One Sentence Competition. So is a well-presented proposal. Our top finishers boasted a combo of each, and in such a crowded field many medal-worthy entries are sadly going unrewarded.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Welcome to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. A theme park that immerses you in a place where imagined worlds of Hollywood unfold around you from movies to music to television to theatre.

-Background Information-
It’s no secret that Hollywood Studios is undergoing a major expansion plan, immersing you into your favorite worlds! With new major additions like Toy Story and Star Wars themed areas, to smaller additions such as Grand Avenue and the new Pixar Store, this park is transforming into something spectacular.

One of the major complaints of Disney’s Hollywood Studios is that there is a lack of things to do for children, besides shows and meet and greets. Disney is answering this with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Toy Story Land, but the E-ticket thrill rides still overpower the family attractions.

And with every area of the park is undergoing major changes, one area that has been unchanged since its incarnation in the 1990s is Sunset Boulevard.

-Challenge-
Your task is to add a new family attraction to Sunset Boulevard. It can be a dark ride or a spinner! IP based or non-IP based! You are pretty much have the freedom. The only requirements is that it must be something the family could enjoy and it must be located anywhere on Sunset Boulevard (please mention where). Have fun!

-Rules-
You may use between 1 and 3 sentences and up to 1 image. The deadline is Friday, April 13, 2018 at 8:59pm EST. The same day as Pixar Fest! Critiques will come following at 11pm EST.

-Bonus-
The only area of the park, besides the unthemed soundstages located everywhere, that still keeps the studio format is the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. Your task is to retheme the show into a different IP stunt show. It can not be Indiana Jones, Star Wars, or Toy Story. But other than that, you have the freedom to do whatever you wish! Do this in no more than 1 sentence for one additional point.

-Tips-
K.I.S.S. – Keep it simple, silly. Try not to complicate or overthink things too much. It’s a simple, casual competition – there are no eliminations. Propose as you please!

-Judging Criteria-
Creativity- Is it creative?
Detail- Do you make the most of your sentences allotted? Do I understand what your submission is about?
Realism- Is it (generally) realistic? Is it something Disney will/could build? Are there patents related to your submission?
Theme- Does it fit thematically? Does it fit visually?
Originality- Is it original?
Effort- Is effort shown?

-Reminders-
This prompt will be a points prompt. As a reminder, everyone who submits something as well as follows the rules will get 1 point. 3 awards are given for each challenge. The three awards are Bronze (+1 points), Silver (+2 points), and Gold (+3 points). Everyone who submits gets a point, but Bronze, Silver, and Gold winners get additional points.

Reminder that prompts are due at 8:59pm EST. Reviews come at 11pm EST with the next prompt coming at Midnight EST.

When you are given a three-sentence maximum to describe your attraction, you can only do so much in terms of detail.

Wow, I got bronze?! That's made my day!

I'll come back and edit this message when I've got time later today, but I'm thinking a twist on mystic manor for my main entry and The Incredibles for the stunt show.

[EDIT]

Jinx Mansion
1523276133853.png

Named for the real life 'Jinx Mansion', so called for the number of misfortunes that befell the house's various owners (although decidedly more whimsical in the Disney version). The reclusive silent film star Norma Jinx, who has barely been seen since the arrival of 'talkies' dimmed her once shining star, has now opened her home to visitors. Inside, guests will find a number of fascinating artefacts from Ms Jinx's travels around the globe, before embarking on a trackless dark ride where objects and indeed entire rooms seemingly come to life.

The Bonus: The Incredible Stunt Spectacular
Hot on the heels of the smash hit that was Incredibles 2 in Summer 2018, The Incredible Stunt Spectacular pits our heroes, along with allies they have met along the way, against their deadliest foes in this retro styled stunt spectacular for all ages!

The Disney Vault
disney-vault.png

Rock N Roller Coaster will be demolished for an all new, immersive, trackless dark ride adventure celebrating Disney World's history. During a trip of Disney headquarters, you accidentally get stuck in the Disney vault, where they store all of their retired attractions. You navigate the mysterious vault, sometimes splitting up with the other
vehicles, and running into characters such as the Alien Encounter alien, Captain Rex, and Dreamfinder (with Figment), all ending with a grand musical finale with an all new original song, "Remember".

Bonus: The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular will be replaced by Air Bud: Secret Agent, a show where Air Bud (played by a guy in a dog costume) becomes a secret agent and takes on a band of criminals.

What we mean with detail is that you explain the full ride with minor detail. This attraction had the beginning mapped out, but after the first scene, there was nothing about the rest of it.

But when you are only allowed a maximum of three sentence, you can't really go into a lot of detail. I've noticed a lot of the sentences here tend to be rather long.

And just out of curiosity, why Sunset Boulevard?

But when you are only allowed a maximum of three sentence, you can't really go into a lot of detail. I've noticed a lot of the sentences here tend to be rather long.

And just out of curiosity, why Sunset Boulevard?

A lot of people try to pack as much into their allotted sentences as they can, so that they are able to get the entire experience mapped out from beginning to end. The amount you write has no impact on whether or not you get a medal or not. It's the idea and the idea being well presented. So that means that writing the entire attraction, even if it has less detail, will be the track to succeeding. The idea of turning Magical Journeys into a dark ride is great, and it was on our list that we narrowed down for medals, but you failed to tell us about the rest of the attraction, which means it wasn't well presented.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask more!

As for why we choose "Sunset Boulevard", @DisneyForever and I are trying to choose prompts that have never been discussed here. We also choose prompts that we feel should happen in the Disney Parks. For example, we felt that there really hasn't been any competitions where we add an attraction to Sunset Boulevard and we felt that in order to round out the park when its expansion is finished, we thought the park needs another family ride, since when the expansion is done the park will have 4 family rides and a whole lot of meet and greets and shows.

Hope this helps!

But to really tell the whole description would require more than just three sentences, I think. Otherwise, there's really no way to get the point across properly.
