The Shrek-themed section of Universal Studios Singapore has been completely Christmas-ified - from the reindeer antlers that Dragon is sporting on Enchanted Airways to the snow that covers the spires of the castle. You can get your picture taken with Ogre Claus, help Shrek and Donkey deliver presents to all of their fairytale friends in a new Christmas-themed 3D show (that temporarily replaces Shrek 4D), bake Christmas cookies with Gingy, and even help Puss in Boots raid the lair of six gigantic geese-a-laying in an overlay of Puss in Boots' Giant Journey that turns "The Twelve Days of Christmas" on its head.

A Hanna-Barbera Christmas Carol
View attachment 686767
As part of a new imitative by the folks at Warner Bros. to make the Hanna-Barbera characters more popular, this quirky adaptation of the beloved Charles Dickens story features five original songs, hilarious jokes, and a cast of beloved Hanna-Barbera characters. Among those featured are Dick Dastardly as Ebenezer Scrooge, Huckleberry Hound as Bob Cratchit, Mildew Wolf as Jacob Marley, Fred Flintstone as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Yogi Bear as the Ghost of Christmas Present, a Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come who pulls down his hood to reveal that he's actually Astro Jetson, Yakky Doodle as Tiny Tim, and Snagglepuss, who serves as the special's narrator.
I really love classic Hanna-Barbera, so I hope that this comes to pass!!

Hershey’s Chocolate Village 🍫

CDFCEF47-DCF5-4EBA-AF6C-C61137BAC7F2.jpeg

temporary replacing Hershey’s ChocolateTown at Hersheyland is Hershey’s Chocolatevillage, and the difference is that everything in the village is made of (or looks like) chocolate instead of brick, from the chocolate bar walls., wafer roofs, and the powdered sugar on top of them as snow, to make almost every building become a chocolate gingerbread house. Meanwhile, Candymonium will have an very small overlay to its coaster trains to make them chocolate themed, and new mini attractions will also be incorporated, including a dreidel game for chocolate coins, a chocolate reindeer scavenger hunt, a Santa meet and greet under a large white Christmas tree with chocolate ornaments, and another smaller chocolate wishing tree to write down and hang new year’s resolutions.

The Land Holiday Harvest

New for 2023, The Land pavilion will undergo a pavilion-wide Christmas transformation!

Living with The Land will retain its traditional holiday overlay, and joining the attraction lineup are “Soarin’ over the North Pole (and other Destinations)” and the Harvest Theater will screen numerous Disney Christmas films and specials!

World of Christmas Markets at Epcot World Showcase

Based on European Christmas markets, between the Food & Wine Festival and the Festival of the Arts, smaller countries with booths will feature an authentic holiday bite, drink, and ornament for purchase; while larger established countries will have similar offerings like struffoli in Italy and stollen in Germany, but wider selections.

One parade will unite them all, but each will feature unique traditions; for example, the American Experience will be like a small town Main Street Christmas fair with artisan craft booths and various foods, and soon after sundown each night, the “mayor” will come out to make a speech and pick a guest to push the button to light the community tree.

The Minions have gotten the whole of Minion Park at Universal Studios Japan in the Christmas, in their own wacky way. More than just decorating the neighborhood and having holiday-themed food and merchandise, as Freeze Ray Sliders play Minion carols as riders glide along in an open slider, and the park’s own Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem gets a holiday overlay where guests get turned into Minions to help Gru and the girls after the town’s annual Christmas fair gets canceled.

Well sh**
What makes it worse Is that I triple checked when @Architectural Guinea Pig sumbitted.

If you submit a submission for the previous challenge you will be given an automatic bonus point now due to that oversight. My apologies 😅
I know @Suchomimus added a post from the last submission, and I think that was the only one. Here are the updated standings going into the final challenge.

I can't wait to see who wins, you guys have really brought your A+++ game. So whoever gets the nod will definitely deserve it. There could honestly be multiple people that could have gotten it during this comp.

I always feel like these competitions are the best ones. Because anyone can really participate, so you hear a slew of different ideas and perspectives. Thank You Tcool for putting it on again, it was a blast.

🎅 Happy Holidays to Everyone 🎅

Seasons greetings imagineers, and welcome to the finale of our holiday fun! The fifth challenge is sure to end this season on a holly jolly note because forr this challenge you're all tasked with creating a whole new land wide holiday celebration! Think of beloved celebrations such as Grinchmas at Islands of Adventure, Rudolph's Village at SeaWorld Orlando, and the Plaza de Navidad at Disney's California Adventure. Feel free to use any land from any theme park could even be your local park - be as bluesky or as constrained as you would like to be for this challenge as its all up to you.

-Challenge-
Create a new land wide holiday celebration.

-Rules-
- You may use between 1 to 2 sentences and up to 1 image.
- If you breach any of these rules your project will be disqualified, and will not be counted for rankings nor will it receive a review from me.
- The deadline is Friday, December 23rd at 11:59 PM EST.

-Tips-
K.I.S.S. – Keep it simple, silly. Try not to complicate or overthink things too much. It’s a simple, casual competition – there are no eliminations. Propose as you please, let your imagination soar!

-Judging Criteria-
Is it creative?
Is it (generally) realistic?
Does it fit thematically/visually?

Good luck everyone! If you have questions, please feel free to ask! Enjoy!
Jungle All the Way
Adventureland, Disneyland Park, Disneyland Resort

Jingle-Cruise-3.jpg

The crewmates of Adventureland need a little Christmas (“right this very minute!”, according to their letters), and Santa Claus has decided to do just that! Arriving at the Disneyland Resort in time for the holiday season, Jungle All the Way is the newest seasonal overlay at Disneyland Park which celebrates this festive season of light and joy inspired by the daring and brave spirit of Adventureland through one-of-a-kind decorations made from repurposed items (e.g., Christmas trees made out of various leaves, individually-designed Christmas lanterns made from recycled plastic, wood, and other natural items, large pieces of twigs used as garland with "papier-mache" Christmas decorations hanging from them, etc.), glorious seasonal entertainment (including the Jungle Belles, a group of spirited and optimistic showgirls who were sent to the jungle by accident but have decided to make the best of the situation and put on a show for the guests to enjoy, and the Skippers Chorus, an acapella group of Jungle Cruise skippers scraping for extra holiday cash through song-and-dance routines and endless puns that goes on for Niles and Niles), fabulous seasonal food and drinks across the various restaurants of the land (including a new snack for the Tropical Hideaway called Holiday Banana-cue, or fried plantains cooked with caramelized sugar) and of course, limited-time holiday overlays in the newly-opened Adventureland Treehouse (A Holiday Celebration in the Tropics that features the Robinson Family's handsome Christmas tree) and of course, the return of the Jungle Navigation Company's Jingle Cruise, now featuring new material for skippers to draw from to reflect the changes in the attractions found on the river cruise route.

No. The original due date for the holiday special prompt was a a day later. Tcool posted the awards early, so an opportunity was given to those who hadn’t submitted one yet to do so.
In spirit of the holidays - and tcool’s unrelenting schedule. All of the previous prompts are currently eligible for redos. So if you have already submitted late and had it not count or want to still submit something for one of the past four rounds feel free to do so.

Reviews and Results will now be released December 27th.

An Enchanted Christmas: A Descendants Tale
Original Disney+ Film, Prequel to Descendants 3

mal-and-ben-royal-wedding.png

The holiday season has always been weird for Mal, especially when her boyfriend's Christmas-loving family/maybe future in-laws are involved (Belle the Queen Mother is especially fond of celebrating the season). When she and her boyfriend King Ben are suddenly tasked to oversee the bulk of the ongoing preparations for the United States of Auradon's Christmas ball that will happen in only a week, Mal has to quickly come to terms with her own holiday blues and uncertainties as a possible Queen of the USA before it affects her new royal assignment as the big day approaches.
