One of These Things Doesn't Belong!

Alright...let's see if this one proves a little trickier.

"Three of these things belong together.
Three of these things are kind of the same.
But one of these things just doesn't belong here.
Now it's time to play our game.
It's time to play our game."

is it Walt Disney World Monorail? all the others are in the park itself and this is outside the gate

CBJ the only attraction not specifically designed for WDW or DL but for a park that never materialized...Disney's Mineral King Ski Resort

You are...so close I should probably give it to you.

CBJ is the correct answer, and your response about the history behind the show's concept is very, very close to my reasoning behind the list. Trace the lineage behind each of the 4 attractions a little more precisely and see if a more exact reason for CBJ's uniqueness comes to mind.

I seem to have stumped everybody. I'll toss out one more clue. If that doesn't do the trick, I'll give my answer.

As I said before, this is in the ballpark of my thinking. Instead of grouping WDW and DL together, try to separate them with regards to these specific attractions and their conceptual evolution. Is there a relationship that binds 3 and excludes CBJ?

heh. I think you may have to tell us!

I have been trying to figure this out all night. Even researched on Wikipedia.
I got nothing....

Alright. Well, here's the answer I typed up at the time I posted the list:

All four attractions had very distinctive identities when they opened at WDW, but only one was truly original to the property.

Three of them were improvements on simpler concepts at Disneyland:

* Hall of Presidents paid tribute to all of the nation's chief executives, while Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln featured just one Audio-Animatronic president.

* 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea added the Captain Nemo backstory and a larger lagoon to the Submarine Voyage, which featured a generic nautical theme.

* The WDW monorail was a serious mode of transportation across the massive Seven Seas Lagoon, whereas Disneyland's was a cute novelty that dropped you off at the Disneyland Hotel, a short walk outside the gates.

But Country Bear Jamboree had no Disneyland predecessor to build on. Instead, it developed from a concept for the proposed but never built Disney's Mineral King Ski Resort and finally saw the light of day at the Magic Kingdom. It was so popular that it became the first WDW attraction to be cloned at Disneyland!

Since unkadug came the closest to my (perhaps too obscure :lookaroun) train of thought, and since I've gone twice in a row, I'm going to give him first dibs on posting the next list.

well since no one has grabbed this in the last day, I got one to add!

Should be easy...

"Three of these things belong together.

But one of these things just doesn't belong here.
Now it's time to play our game.
It's time to play our game."

Disneyland Railroad (Disneyland)
Haunted Mansion (Magic Kingdom)
Toy Story Midway Mania (Hollywood Studios)
Ellen's Energy Adventure(Epcot)

Off the top of my head...HM, because it has no dinosaurs? (Is Rex in TSMM?)

Yep! That's correct Wilt! :D

Told ya it was an easy one!(could havbe included Dinosaur in the three...but that would have given it away!)

Alright, try this one on for size.

Hall of Presidents. You don't go around in a circle. (Unless you want to consider politically speaking...then that could be debatable.)

Oooooh. You know, I had the thought of doing a list with rotation as the answer a couple days ago. Unfortunately, this is not that list. :D

HoP is not the answer...and physical motion is not the link.

I get the feeling this one might prove tricky. I'll say straight out that history is the key...and that the standout IS something, while the other three are NOT that thing.
