One of These Things Doesn't Belong!

"Three of these things belong together.
Three of these things are kind of the same.
But one of these things just doesn't belong here.
Now it's time to play our game.
It's time to play our game."

One of these doesn't fit...

Horizons
Pirates of the Carribbean
World Of Motion
Jungle Cruise

Tell me what...and why!

I am guessing the Jungle Cruise because the other attractions have either been replaced or have gone through a drastic refurbishemnt.

Am I correct?

Jungle Cruise is the outlier, because it doesn't feature a wickedly catchy theme song that sticks in your head for hours. :)

Also an elegant answer, Wilt...and one that I considered after I posted this...

But alas, it's not the one I am looking for!

(and JC does have a catchy tune...only it's by Weird Al!)

I'm kinda grasping at straws now, but I'm going to say World of Motion.

PotC and JC are set on water and Horizons had a simulated underwater scene. I never rode WoM, but it sounds like it had a lot to do with surface and air travel, and not so much with aquatic motion. So...WoM, because it didn't have (?) a water segment.

Now, I am guessing Horizons because all of the other attractions looked into the past in some way.

Am I correct?

oooh...ALL very interesting answers!

Unfortunately...none of them are what I was specifically looking for!

Kermit is correct with Horizons...but not for the right reason....(though it is a good one!)

Horizons took itself very seriously. The other 3 were (and are) more whimsical attractions...although I think JC has "evolved" from a more serious attraction initially.

On a somewhat related note....PotC, JC and WoM all featured work from Marc Davis, well known for bringing a light and humorous style to his projects. I don't find him listed as having worked on Horizons.

:sohappy:BINGO! THAT is the answer I was looking for!

WoM, PotC, JC, (as well as CBJ IaSW,HM and Tiki Room) all had scenes and characters designed by animator Marc Davis, who injected humor and style into each attraction.

whereas Horizons was not a project he had a hand in!

Well done...and over to you!

Fun stuff. That took a little research.

Here's mine:

It's time to play our game."

Tree of Life (Disney's Animal Kingdom)
Cinderella Castle (Magic Kingdom)
Sleeping Beauty Castle (Disneyland)
Spaceship Earth (Epcot)

Who's crashing this party...and why do they find themselves stuck in a corner while the other 3 chat merrily over martinis?

OOh! Thats' a good one!

My guess...Cinderella's Castle...because it remains attractionless. (not counting restaurants or suites!)

whereas SSE has its ride, Tree of Life has Tough to Be a Bug, and Sleeping Beauty had the Diorama.(once upon a time)

SSE, ToL and SBC all house full-fledged attractions. (SBC's walkthrough was re-opened as part of DL's 50th anniversary.)

CC doesn't have an attraction...but I hear the restaurant is very nice!

Guess it's your turn again, Chron. :)

Hey ...if you wanna do another one, I don't mind!

I can't think of anything right now!

(Cool that SBC diorama re-opened! I didn't know that! It's one of my favorite things!)
