Was here on Tuesday and the lady at the door said that what is opened is what we are getting. There will be one or 2 more displays added, but that's really it. Now she is a front line CM, but that wall pictured above no longer says "Coming Fall 2010". If you look above the wall too you can see that the mint colored wall is only about 1 1/2' from the back of the the building. There is a little room on the north side of othat wall where it looks like we might get another display case possibly...but I just don't see much else happening here.

The upgraded fresh look definitely does look great! And it was fantastic to not only see many people in this attraction on Tuesday (perhaps partially because of the cold) but many of them taking the time to read the placards and others helping to explain to others what the display was about or offer a little more insight on Walt. :sohappy:

Not sure where Saumele copied this from, but it looks like we're getting our "Blue Sky Cellar" preview center after all! :sohappy:

Sorry to crush your dream (and mine too!!), but the supposed "Blue Sky Cellar" mentioned in the article is that tiny little portion that showcases a couple of things from the Little Mermaid:

I know, i know, it's sad. that's all we got from the Blue Sky Cellar. Unless, the area that's "coming soon" includes something more...

Awe man, I misunderstood the article you posted then I guess. :(

What do they mean by this?

"Walls that once provided physical and visual barriers have been removed to allow easier flow and increased exhibit space."

What was removed? Any photos?

I revisited this attraction last Thursday and was disappointed in how fast those new improvements are starting to look. Many of the new "photo borders" as I like to call them that features photos of films, attractions, and other Disney properties are starting to peel right off the wall, including the text "The Legacy Continues". You can see evidence of this in the photos posted by RAXIP above. Look at the bottom of the "y" in "Legacy". The line to the right is starting the peel in the second photo.

EDIT:

Here is a close up of the area described above. There are other areas that feature peeling graphics as well!

I have to be honest. "Coming soon", as mentioned, can only be like 1 or 2 more display cases. There's no where to put anything "more" other than against that back wall where nothing is currently sitting.

I think we're all going to be underwhelmed when it comes. My guess is it will feature (as mentioned) displays related to the "unprecedented" and "expansive" redo of Fantasyland. Magic Kingdom's "largest expansion since the park opened in 1971".

 I don't think they figured they would be behind... they put the stickers up because they didn't want to paint it on then have to close for priming then painting the affected areas  now they only have to spot paint the affected areas once they get whatever they are getting ready :lookaroun

Anyone but me notice they also finally got the plaque hung on the DL archway...

Is Disney really touting the FLE as the "largest expansion since the park opened"??? I would think the big Tomorrowland expansion of '74-'75 would get that honor, since it included;

Space Mountain
Carousel of Progress
WEDWay PeopleMover
Star Jets
Mission To Mars
New Circle-Vision movie
Plus assorted shops and restaurants

FLE is needed and is going to be great, but FLE of 2012-13 can't really compare to the list of major attractions and physical park expansion from Tomorrowland 1974-75.

Yeah, I'm sorry. I would have LOVED a Blue Sky cellar for WDW!!!
And, for the removed walls, one example is this, where before there were automatic doors (that were never used):

Notice the new plaque, by the way, that was added almost three weeks ago:

Yea, I used the quotes not because I mean it, but because I've heard it said about it...

I`ve said this before too. Agreed, M2M and CV360 were just upgrades, but the new physical attraction floorspace and ride additions between 74-5 that were built as one phased program (like FLE) knock the current works into second place. Me thinks it is an overactive or misinformed PR department trying to pull the publicity in.

Really really hoping to see something on the FLE by March in Walt Disney:One Man's Dream. Just a little something more than we already have would suffice.

I thought that plaque has always been in One Man's Dream. Someone had a limited edition version of that plaque from Disneyland available on eBay recently.
