Once Upon a Time - TV Series

Our theory is that he is reverting to wood, and won't be able to live that way in a world without magic. So he is looking for a magical cure, and it's either through Emma (who does have magic) or he was hoping Rumples. Have we seen his hands? We think that he is going to prove to Emma the book is real by showing her what is happening to him.

The overview of next weeks episode is about how Gepetto agrees to build the wardrobe, but is looking to save his boy as part of the deal. That must explain how pinoccio ends up outside of SB. Also, Emma was found with a 7 year old boy nearby. That must be August.

We know that some of the characters do have magic, even if the world does not. Regina killed the woodsman by squeezing a heart in storage, Jefferson disappeared and Emma started time. We think that's all going to play out in the finale. Rumple is convinced that the world doesn't have magic because of the event with his son. That doesn't mean he is right.

And if magic can be used, then this whole show is about to make some crazy change in preparation for season 2.

We can't wait to see what they do.

I hadn't thought of any of this. Great theories!

Last night's episode was great!!!! I loved having more Rumplestiltskin backstory. I'm still dying to know who August is and how he knows about the other land. I'm also officially tired on the David/Mary Margaret thing.

I agree with you 100%.

I agree! It just gets better! I think August is Pinocchio.

The donkey paperweight would certainly point towards him being Pinnocchio, but what is he sick of?

Obviously, I am going to have to start paying WAY more attention when I watch this show, I didn't pick up on any of this.

I am curious how Season 1 will end... When they announced the final 3 episodes last Sunday I first thought it was the series finale! But then it came to me it was just the season finale. I HATE season finales and I know I will especially hate this one because as it is it kills me waiting just a week for the next episode! lol. And it probably will be several months before the show comes back! IF it even does... I do think Once Upon A Time is popular enough for another season, but, I thought that with the show V as well and ABC cut that :(

Once Upon a Time has the best demos (18-49 aged audience) on Sunday, and the second best total viewers on Sunday. It WILL be renewed for season 2. ABC will probably announce it during a media event or to their sponsors at their annual meeting. It's doing extremely well for a Sunday night drama, and has actually increased in viewers again recently.

With the talent behind the scenes, and the LOST pedigree, we can expect some big stuff happening over the last three episodes, some of our questions answered, and a huge cliffhanger. Like LOST, they will wrap up the major story arc (Snow and Charming, and the curse), plus some sort of resolution with Emma and Regina.

The Mad Hatter, Jefferson, was announced to have three episodes. Since we have seen just one, one common theory on line is that they will use him and the idea of multiple worlds (we saw all the doors in a room when he was going to wonderland) to set up a new group of characters and that the event of the curse of Storybrooke breaking will cause something new to open up. We also saw debris (probably from the Enchanted Forest) at the bottom of one of the mines. They haven't returned to that detail, but that may be a clue to the future.

ABC / Disney have a potentially enormous hit on their hands. I expect we will see them try and take advantage of it. For my family it's destination TV like we haven't had in years.

Wow, that was so accurate you should start your posts with a spoiler warning. Makes me wonder if you have some inside information.

Anyone else catch the Tron lunch box? I saw that and immediately thought of all the Tron fans here on the boards.

Wow, those predictions were unbelievable!!!!

Three thoughts:
1) Did August really think he'd convince her by showing her a tree??
2) I think, though, that she's starting to believe or she wouldn't have gotten so upset by the idea of saving everyone.
3) The scene at the end with August and Geppetto was so sweet.

Ha! I thought the same thing. It didn’t even have the hole in the side anymore. It would have been a little more convincing if it has something from fantasy land still with it.

LOL! We caught the lunch box. Loved it.

We all thought the episode was great! We re-watched "The return" right before it to get in the mood.

One of the things we all like is that all of the characters are flawed and complex. Even Regina seems to be conflicted at times.

The only thing that makes ME crazy is that it takes so long for the story to play out. I LOVE the show, but mid-season it moved pretty slowly. The past 5 or 6 episodes have been great though.

I think that this is the only way they can build a fairly long running show. We need to know the ins and outs of each character so we know how they will interact with one another and the real world. Hopefully this will mean that there is a lot to come from the story though to make all of that character building necessary.

Well we are hanging in there. I keep trying to turn as many people as I can to it. We watch someTV late night (all recorded) because of our schedules, but OUAT is destination TV for us. It's unique in content, and even though it kind of follows the same rules as LOST it feels totally fresh.

I hope that the DVD brings in a bunch more who had trouble picking it up mid-season. After I tried and failed to figure it out mid-year, I burned through all of the back episodes on Hulu.

Season finale next sunday the 13th! I already miss the show!

What is everyones thoughts on what the next season will hold? If the curse does end... Then what? Will everyone end up back in FTL and there wont be a SB in season 2? Or more likely maybe they will have the ability to go back and forth?
Also when will the show come back? October or something?

So many rumors. I think that there are two details from the season that are possibilities. First, there were hints in the episode in which Henry was trapped in the mine shaft. It looked like items from the Enchanted Forest remained in some of the areas. Maybe a clue?

In the Mad Hatter episode, there was a room with doors that led to other worlds. Jefferson is supposed to appear in the last episode. Maybe we are going back to that area?

Here is what I think.

Henry or Pinocchio dies. Maybe both. I think, unfortunately, that it must at least be Henry and Regina's rage triggers some sort of change. If Pinocchio dies then Emma finally is able to see his body made of wood. In either case tho, I believe Henry is gone from the show.

Regina and Mr Gold had a confrontation last episode. Gold told Regina that she didn't have anything to force him to help. She does. Belle is being held without his knowledge in the Hospital. I think that plays into the plot.

The other new piece of news is that if Emma dies the curse is lifted. I think that is a clue and a red herring. I believe that Emma's character survives, but Henry's death is the event that actually lifts the curse because he is Emma's son.

I think the curse will be lifted, and we will move the story to the Enchanted Forest, or what's left after the world was destroyed. Some characters will be in one world and others in SB. I have no idea what the major story arc will be from there, other than Gold will be searching for his kid.

Wow I totally forgot about that! I wonder if this will be Reginas way to keep the curse from being broken? They will also be in the hospital to because of Henry!

Soo what did everyone think of the season finale?

I thought it was awesome! Was kind of Eh about the Maleficent part... I had been wanting/hopeing Maleficent would have a much bigger part in the show :-(. Anyhow I had a feeling Emma was going to kiss Henry and bring him back to life But was surprised when that also broke the curse! And was a twist when Jefferson let Belle free and he told her to tell Gold that Regina locked her up!

Gold (Rumpelstiltskin) is going to get revenge BIG time on Regina! lol

And what the heck did Gold (Rumpelstiltskin) do at the end of the show with releasing the big purple cloud that engulfs the whole town? He said "Magic Is Coming", Emma asked Henry what it was and Henry said "Something Bad" and Regina had a big grin on her face!

My only thoughts are maybe Gold is simply "bringing back Magic" and now everyone will be able to use Magic in SB? and Regina had the big grin on her face because now she will be able to "get revenge" as she will have powers again?

I am wondering what season 2 will hold? Aside from everyone reuniting now that they remember who they are. And the big reuniting of Snow, Charming, and Emma... There is also the question, and Emma did ask Henry, Why they are still in SB now that the curse is broken. Henry said "He didn't know".

I loved the show last night! I was a little disappointed in Golds reaction to Belle. It was like he had to put himself before her and that was so not what I expected.
I think he made the magic come back in order to find his son, but I'm betting it will be harder than he thinks.

I was also wondering why they stayed in SB. I had thought that when the spell was broken, and that was so neat by the way, that they would all return to FL. I guess not. I can't wait to see what will happen next. I hope that things move a little faster next season.

Once Upon a Time

Was Maleficent the same actress who is in the "True Blood" series? She's Erik's sidekick in his bar. She did look great. Loved the ending, can't wait for next season.

The purple fog was everyone reverting back to the original fantasy land with magic. Hence Gold's comment "Magic is coming". Gold has limited ability to hurt Regina for Belle so he needs his magic. She is screwed when they get back.

The curse that broke when Emma woke Henry is the curse of forgetfulness. When it broke, everyone remembered who they were. Now that Gold broke the major curse everyone will revert back to their original forms.

Loved the Finale. I was breathless for the first 10 minutes. It was nice that Emma "believed" so early in the episode. I thought it would happen just prior to the ending of the episode.

Lots of surprises too. The writers are really hitting their stride after a mid-season lull. It will be interesting to see where they go with this. As much as I loved the show, it was feeling like a one year set-up. Now that they have blown it open they can do anything they like!

4 months to wait.
