On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

I think its just fatigue at this point. I can honestly say though, that this thread and the opinions of many posters here have certainly made me think twice and at least consider another opinion then I was considering.
Now that I've taken my trip people screaming at me that WDW should be shut down doesn't make my blood boil as it used too. I stay off cruise critic and other cruise forums.....I just can't right now. My trip to WDW last month was my first vacation in 10 years that didn't involve getting on a ship. I miss it a lot.

I was to set sail in October for my first DCL vacation, and I'm pretty crushed we can't. I'll go to a park for a day later this week for quick 1 day trip, but its not going to be the same.

We should’ve set sail 2 weeks on Saturday. Fingers crossed for next September now.

Governor DeSantis of FL has extended the eviction ban again. It has now been extended to Oct 1. This will surely assist the many impacted that cannot meet their monthly rent or mortgage payments.

About that...

By the end of next week, I am told fifteen percent of the company world wide(just to clarify it is not just WDW or DL) will not be working.
The grain of salt I take it with is smaller because of how right this person's info was about other things.
I don't know for certain. I am not here to prove anything. Just passing along the info.

That is our new target date for our cancelled trip, September 2021. Really hope that it can happen.
Would you guys please stop filling up our preferred spots ? :p

Although I really liked the trip in springtime (March), Blizzard Beach was soo nice and empty... ok it was only 16C (61F) but no lineups

A local food bank is giving free food bags to furloughed Disney cast members. The line of cars stretched two miles and the wait was 4 1/2 hours.
Where? I see a food bank giving out food every Friday (admittedly early since I drive by around 1130am) and it has a lot of people...but not 4.5hrs worth of people

Next August out of Copenhagen for us. I'm hoping for a three or four-day cruise before then. I'm going to make a contingency plan for a land trip through Europe if it falls through, but the thought of traveling by train isn't that appealing.

If anything this year has taught us is have a back up plan. We’ve lost a cruise, Orlando, a very kind comp stay at AKL, a London trip, a Six Flags style trip and we’re desperately hoping our 3rd attempt at a DLP trip will pan out. But as I’ve said before we have our health and our jobs.

I would say European train travel could be a pleasant surprise depending on the route.

I wouldn't complain, but It would definitely be an adventure. I'm not the most skilled at navigating public transportation.

If you’ve a phone that’ll have offline translating that would be a bonus. But to be honest from my limited travelling stations tend to have English and some English speaking staff. Certainly ticket machines are multi lingual. Better than Japan!
