Very much so but Cedar Point is more then just coasters. They have some great shows and are adding in more family friendly things. The one thing I do like about coasters at other parks, Universal included, is they don't hide them inside a building.

While they don’t always get it right, Phantasialand really nails the balance of great coasters in highly themed environments.

20K was Sept 1994. So yes, Disneyland's Motor Boat Cruise was closed January 1993. Still hasn't been replaced. They took the operating budget and used it for the newly opened Mickey's Toontown.
The replacement will be better. RMC has done wonders for coasters. They push the limits and are very intense. As good as B&M coasters are they never push the limits. They are what I call GP friendly.

I resent that remark. Disney wishes they had coasters as good as some of regional parks have.

I don’t think Disney cares. If they wanted coasters like those they could cheaply and easily have them.
They already did and it's being scrapped. World class coasters aren't cheap. Most B&M coasters are usually close to $25 million.
