I'm just so very excited. My DH surprised with the news that we were going to Disney World for my b-day. We are getting to go at around Christmas. We are going Dec 10-Dec 16 ( my b-day is the 18th, but what the heck!). This is the first time we will be going around this time. I can't wait to see the decorations. This is sort of last minute so to speak. So I've already started the lists.:) The only thing I'm bummed about is we have to stay in ASMu. We were hoping for PoP. But I figured I would stay in a cardboard box if it means I'm at Disney!!

So if you all have any advice or tips about travelling in Dec. to WDW, I would love to hear them all. Thanks!!

Great News on a special birthday present!
There is a lot extra happening during this time of year, so it is good for you to study up and plan the extras for your trip. If you want to do MVMCP, pick a date and consider getting tickets now. Also look at Candlelight Processional and see if there are some dinner packages available. That is if you want to sit. You can always easily watch it from the walkway above the theater.

Just remember - the official Disney rule is that if your birthday is within 6 months of your trip :animwink: then you're celebrating your birthday - so get a button!!

I think Clemson Tigger covered it well on the holiday happenings. There's so much going on during this time!

Have a wonderful time!!! The holidays are a great time to visit Disney World!

Twice I have gotten a birthday trip... which is probably twice more than I deserve!

The first (my 16th) was an amazing surprise that I learned about just days before.

The next year it was a bit predictable because for a year I heard my parents talk about how amazing early May was... temp + crowds = great trip.

Both were awesome... especially the first trip because on my birthday night we ate at Tony's with the parade going by at the beginning of the meal and then saw fireworks through the glass ceiling at the end.

I hope you have a great time! Do what you want because this is your special trip! You'll remember it forever!

To all others: best gift ever...

Congratulations on both your birthday and your upcoming trip - your husband sounds like a real sweetie.

Christmas in Disney is indescribable - I just love the decorations and the Christmasy feeling you get walking down Main Street.

Do the Christmas Party if you can, and definitely get your Birthday Button - I wore mine for my 50th last year and had so much fun with it.

Most of all, have fun. You're going to Disney!!

:xmas:Have a great time!! We're going for our first Christmas trip too. I feel the same way I want to see all the special things. We will be there dec.8-13 at Pop. See you there!!

I can't wait to get my birthday button! I've been waiting to hit Christmas at WDW. My DH always had a job where he could not get any holidays off.

Ok, here is another question.......We can't find any information on going to Epcot to see storytime with all the other versions of Santa Claus. Does anyone know where I can find info or tell me about it? Thanks
