The poles will be covered by the gold fabric seen in the concept art.

I hope they do this right, to put so much into decorating the castle and then leave things like poles that don't match would be dissapointing.

It figures that Home Depot would be the sponsor for the F&G Festival. I can't stand freakin' Home Depot...

I normally like asymetrical things, so different character shapes and sizes all over the place throw things out of whack.

Although when you think of it, Cinderella's Castle isn't asymetrical itself...

Hopefully they will put the bottom edge on the mirror too - it will hide the nuts and bolts and the cross beam.

Actually the castle is asymetrical. The castle is not symetrical which is the opposite of asymetrical. I thing that Kevin meant symetrical in his post.

First I just wanted to say great pics...I suppose I wont post any of mine, cause they all look the same. Was there on Saturday the 5th and got to see the castle in all its glory in person. All the characters and gold accents look wonderful on the caste, but as for the mirror. Id have to say that im really disappointed. 1st its HUGE, and really dwarfs the castle. 2nd that its not any kind of screen or anything and just rotating panels like a cheap I4 billboard. And then on to the stage, its how those gold railings look so nice in pictures. And then you see them for real and realize how they have no dimension to them at all, they are totally flat steel or whatever and painted to look like they have some kind of dimension. Ok, I think that was my whole .02 for now.

That mirror looks great. Although I'm a little disappointed...I thought the mirror was going to be a tv screen and not just little turny thingies like in a billboard, but it still looks nice!! Very big!!
wow, talking about a big LCD or PLASMA screen. $$$$

I'm pretty sure it was Yeti meat. They wanted to make the Yeti as genuine as possible, so they killed one, and in lieu of paying the construction workers they fed them Yeti meat. The carcass will later be stuffed with electronics to make it move.
