Isn't Ohana one of the best dining experiences at WDW? I cannot wait for my trip in 2 months. Anyone else choose Ohana as their favorite?

It is our first meal, too! We go back to the parks to try and work off a few calories.

And, that picture of the bread pudding qualifies as food ...lol

ohana was our favorite dinner on our last trip in oct. 2010. We still talk about it to this day and it is the only table service we are going to again this oct.
here is a tip:
We booked ohanas about 2 hours before the wishes fireworks in MK and walked over to the beach, grabbed a chair and watched the fireworks. they pumped the music in from the fireworks and they even had a mini lights show with boats on the lagoon before the fireworks started. no crowds, no trying to find a place to sit and no fighting the crowds to get back to the hotel. it was AMAZING!!! one of our best memories of disneyworld. :sohappy::sohappy:

I agree. As a matter of fact I just PM'd someone seconds ago and recommended it.

As a matter of fact we fell in love with the whole Polynesian resort when we ate there.

It's a great way to start the trip! pretty good food, atmosphere, and fireworks. But it is not the best restaurant at WDW. Great for a family dinner, better than a buffet, and it's a great value compared to most table service places.

It is our favorite. Always our first night dinner and our last night dinner. I asked the chef once for the bread pudding recipe and he gave it to me. I finally made it and it was sooo good. Whenever I am disney homesick I make it and we usually have steak & shrimp on the bbq too. I know we are dorks you dont have to say it but it is a quick fix. :slurp:

Another vote for Ohana as favorite restaurant here. From the poly lobby, to the meal, to the dessert, to the ukelele player, it's just a great experience.

Another dork confession here: Family that we went to WDW with last fall and to Ohana has a daughter who has a gluten allergy and couldn't try the bread pudding. I found a recipe for the bread pudding online and made it a month ago for her with gluten free ingredients. flambé-ing was required. To someone who has trouble boiling water, flambé is a foreign concept but I tried it anyway. It came out decent and she enjoyed it but i almost burned my kitchen down and lost all my knuckle hair
