'Ohana Questions

My girlfriend and I are in the middle of making our ADR's for an upcoming trip. We noticed that the menu (as it is shown on this site) includes a peanut sauce. My questions are has anyone eaten at 'Ohana that has a really bad peanut allergie? Is it possible to not get the skewers with the peanut sauce? Are we better off just picking somewhere else?

Yes, it is possible. Be sure to have them note it on your ADR and tell them when you arrive. They will modify the menu for the person with the allergy.

I have Celiac disease (an allergy to wheat) and I have eaten everywhere in WDW ... from table service to character meal buffets and quick service. When you make your ADR's, be sure to advise them of the allergy and it will be noted on all your reservations. The chef from each restaurant would come out and speak to me about alternatives and were very happy to make sure I would enjoy my meal.

The food we had at 'Ohana was a great; I'm sure you will enjoy it too :)

Here's a link to article about dining in Disney with allergies: http://allears.net/din/guestfood.htm

The peanut sauce isn't on the skewers. It's in its own dish that comes with 2 other sauces that come out when some of the appetizers or side dishes come out.

DH & I ate at O'Hana in May and someone at the next table had a peanut allergy. The chef came out and talked to her, asked her about severity (like could the peanut sauce be brought out for her boyfriend) and also asked her about things that she likes to eat so that he could prepare a meal for her. When her dinner arrived it looked fantastic!
