Did you go swimming?

Florida spring water is very refreshing in February.

When I googled the park for info it mentioned you can swim, then had a photo of a gator taken near the swimming spot. He was a pretty big gator and looked well fed.

I was watching Axmen today and there were people fishing the Withlacoochie River for sunken logs.

The narrator described the area as infested with poisonous snakes and alligators.

It made me shudder, as many times did I step out of my canoe into the unknown due to the Water Hyacinth clogging the same river in order to continue my journey down the river. We also swung from rope swings into the river.

a manatee! In the wild even! we saw about 6 of them.

and we saw lots of these....

and bald eagles, all sorts of wading birds, some really cool spoonbills, fiddler crabs,etc...
