The Alabama Power guys have gotten quite adept at hurricane damage. They are always going to the hot spots around the nation.

we sure appreciate it after last year - some people were without power for 2 - 3 weeks.

Just checking in - we're OK here, and we have power - over 100,00 in our state do not. Lots of damage around.

So, just a couple of pictures from today.The first one goes back to a disagreement Dave and I had last April when we were buying plants for the yard. I saw this one hanging plant that I absolutely loved, but he told me that it wouldn't stay in bloom for long, so we should get something else. I really loved it, and after considerable debate, we bought a smaller pot with the same plant, just so he could prove me wrong. Well, it only bloomed for a couple of weeks and then we retired it to the plant cemetary in the back yard.
Today when we were cleaning up the yard, look what I found!

Then, we were raking , we found this giant leaf that we have no idea where it came from - probably New Jersey!

well we faired very well at home we lost power for 5 minutes no water damages
