When there's a lull in posts, I always fear that the next post on here will be yet another disturbing picture....

I rest my case......

Bye!

Nemo14 - happy baking for your party!

I'm off to paradise!! I swear I hear steel drums every time I step into my friend's yard. If the zombies decide to rise from the dead in the next few hours you're going to be able to hear me scream expletives all the way in Lake Buena Vista!!

Pregnancy does weird things to your normal sense of good taste... I couldn't get enough red jello with my first.

I craved watermelon with my first. I mean, I could sit down and eat a whole one, one piece at a time. But I couldn't tolerate any meat - which was the only good thing about my husband being deployed for most of it - he would have starved otherwise.

Jello was the only thing I could keep down with my first. I actually only gained 1/2 pound with her, and she was a 9 1/2 lb baby. My second full-term was slightly better, and I ,too, craved watermelon with that one. I sent Dave out on a late night quest for watermelon one night because he had the nerve to eat the last slice after dinner. I got away with a lot with those hormonal rages....

Hehe. Mindy went the opposite direction. She was pretty close to a vegetarian when we were dating. When she got pregnant, she started craving Arbys of all things. She used to hate Arbys. But pregnancy turned her into a carnivore permanently.

I was buying out Cadbury eggs any time I found them. Josie was born May 11. So they were starting to get pretty scarce towards the end there.

I made daily runs to Krispie Kreme donuts. I would get a half dozen creme-filled almost every day. She would scarf them down because she was afraid I would eat them first. I never touched them. But she was in a pregnant, donut craze.

She also downed some kid's cereal by the box. Can't remember which one though.

I have a friend who freezes Cadbury eggs so she has them year round. I'm not sure the mini eggs would freeze well, and frankly, a bag doesn't last too long around here....

Turns out it was Captain Crunch.

In retrospect, she hasn't really abandoned any of these cravings since the kids were born. Only the volume has gone down.

Captain Crunch (with no milk) is highly addictive.

might be the corn...

I can't remember if milk was involved or not. I should clarify that her Crunch of choice was Crucnch Berries or Ooops All Berries if it was available. She could not/can not stomach the Peanut Butter Crunch (although she has never and will never) tried it. This is, of course, crazy because peanut butter cereal is AMAZING!

Also, store brand Crunch Berries are an unacceptable substitute in her eyes. No one else seems to mind them though. I buy generic cereals for the kids and she runs out and buys name brand Captain Crunch and Lucky Charms for herself.

Years from now your kids will be buying dumb old name brands for their kids while splurging on generics for themselves..

So I read all the spoilers for the Olympics so I can go to bed at a normal time tonight....

I'll probably hang out here anyway though, what with Marcia having the equipment and all ....
