I went to my local drug store today to buy a birthday card when I saw they had taken down all the Halloween decorations and were putting Christmas decorations up. I was like :eek:! Christmas is here?! It's been a year already?! I know there's still Thanksgiving but still... it's almost Christmas time! I don't know how to take this. I love Christmas, it's my most favorite time of year. But I have so much else on my mind right now and all of a sudden, Christmas sneaks up? This is trouble... but it's Christmas... I love Christmas... too much to take in... ahhhh!!! :cry: :sohappy: :cry: :sohappy: :xmas:

Yeah, last year when i worked at Target they had people coming in right after the store closed to set up the good old Chirstmas stuff, thankfully I was not one of those people:)

A local Target here has had Christmas decorations for sale (right next to the Halloween ones) for the past three weeks. :eek:

But the Christmas season is definitely one of the best times of the year, I'd have to say.... :D

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five-and-ten, glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
Toys in ev'ry store,
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.
A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

:sohappy: :sohappy: :xmas: :xmas:

It's sick isn't it? Some of the stores I have been in recently had larger Christmas displays than Halloween.
We waited until yesterday about a half hour before Trick or Treat started to buy our candy. Not a good idea, unless you like having red and green Reeses cups and Hershey Kisses on Halloween :lol:

It's kinda like for my birthday (12/20) and my gifts are wrapped in Christmas paper...SHEESH ALREADY! (Not that bad NOW...but as a kid I hated it)

My hubby's birthday is Christmas Eve. Birthday gifts must be wrapped in birthday paper & we have a birthday cake for him after Christmas Eve dinner.

Me too, Bri. As I got older I started to get more bitter (aka vocal) about the Christmas paper on my birthday (12/7) but then in an effort to separate it from Christmas, we started celebrating it on Thanksgiving with my extended family and all the late October/November birthdays. I can't win. :rolleyes:

My best friend's b'day is the day after Christmas and my other really close friend is on 12/27. I never wrap their gifts in Chrstmas paper. I try and keep it all seperate. I don't even give them their b'day gift of the day I give them their Christmas gift.

That was my favorite thing to do when I worked for Target. Even though I supervised a different area, I always volunteered to help. I loved doing the overnights. This time of year really makes me think about why I left Target.
Where I work now, we just finished getting the rest of Christmas set today. We have been selling it since the beginning of September.
